Hey everyone!! Can you believe it’s already August? I know I say this every month, but… IT’S CRAZY! This year is going by sooo fast!!
But we’re here to talk about July, not August, so. What happened this month anyway? I forget half of it.. XD But hopefully I shall remember as I go. 🙂
Well, it’s been raining nicely this year! The last couple of years, we have been in a pretty bad drought, and hardly got any rain. But this year, it’s actually been raining, so praise God for that! It’s getting really green, and I love it so much.

I’ve been doing classes with my youngest siblings, which has been fun! 😀
Reading Glaucia the Greek Slave, given to me by my friend, Susie!! It was really good! 😀

Our family goes on walks together frequently in the summer. It’ really fun, and the weather as been beautiful!!!

Lots of green!! Pretty clouds A rainbow!

Later this month (just a few days ago) Ruthie, Susie and I went with Dad to the border! We go every every so often to get our mail, go shopping, and whatever other errands we need to do. 😀 I always love going.
We left at 3:30 in the morning, and got there around 9:30. The sunrise that morning was really pretty!

It rained a lot on the trip, was was so much fun! The weather was beautiful……!!!
It looks like Dad is sleeping while he’s driving, but DON’T WORRY! He’s just blinking. 😉 LOL!!

We went to Coldstone Creamery while we were in El Paso! It was my first time going, and it was AMAZING….. I got coffee ice cream with chocolate and caramel and nuts….. Ahhhh!! We got to watch the lady making it, witch looked super fun, and I decided what my future job will be. LOL!
Sadly, I didn’t get a picture of the ice cream. Sorry, I was just too busy eating it. XD
James and I took picture of each other with these purple flowers. He was quite proud of the pictures he took himself! 😀 ❤

In July I…

How was your month of July? Do you have any plans for August? Have you ever been to Coldstone Creamery? 😀
Love,

I’ll see if I can get it done, lol, I’m trying not to type lyrics.

Haha! Yeah I do the same thing while I’m typing and listening to music.🤣

That’s why I don’t usually listen to music while doing school. I’ll start to write lyrics instead of my essays.

I am not a Christian but what is your denomination called? Are you apostolic? I don’t know any other denominations where Christian women wear only long skirts, so I’d love to know

Hello, thanks for your comment. 🙂 No, we are Baptist, but our family chooses to mostly wear skirts for modesty reasons. 🙂

oooh, I’ve said this so many times before, but I LOVE these posts! They’re so fun! We’ve had a bad drought for a long time too, but we got a TON of rain here too! It’s been so amazing!

Rosy, your month looks great! I really like going for long (preferably strenuous) hikes in the woods. The road trip sounds fun, and 😂 I probably would have thought your father was falling asleep if you hadn’t clarified. XD
Who was holding that snake? 😖 I would NOT want to do that.
James did a good job with those pictures 😉
That butterfly painting is so pretty!
If your wondering why I took so long to respond, I like to be detailed in my writing, and I don’t often feel motivated. 😅 Imagine my poor, less-than-half-filled journal, even after three or four years of use. 😬 I think I’ll be “kicking” myself when I get older and want to read back on my younger years but find that I never did record this or that experience.😩 But even that thought doesn’t get me to write.😣
*looks back on my rant* He-he, sorry 😅
Ok, so bc this is such a long story, and I’ve told it, wrote it, and thought about it about a gazillion times (that’s a complete exaggeration, if you didn’t notice 😆, but it seems like a lot), I’ll copy and paste what I wrote in my comment to Hattush about this. So, if you happen to read my comment to her, and you see that the story and words look identical, you’ll know why. xD
I’ve been looking around for a job. To make this as brief as possible (cause it’s a loong story), I put in an application at a Food Lion (a grocery store) that’s about five minutes away. I applied for the bakery/deli position. This was my very first time applying at any job in my life, and all I had was a cover letter to put in–no resume. About three days later, as I was reading an email I got from that location about an open house interview they would be having, I got a phone call from a manager from another location about 20 minutes away. The manager said he had reviewed my app and wanted to to know if I’d like to work there, even tho I didn’t apply at that location. I declined, bc it was far away. I was planning on going to the open house interview, when the next day, I got another call from another manager at another location (about 10 mins away). She wanted to know if I’d like to come in for an interview the next day. I decided to go, and it turns out, to my great excitement, I got hired the very same day of the interview! I was super, super excited. Everything checked out–my schedule was perfectly fine for them, I would be getting paid a wage ($11/hr) that’s higher than what my sister is even getting (tho she’s been working for four years or so) 😂, everyone I met–the managers and employees–were super, super friendly, and last but definitely not least, nobody said anything about the fact that I wasn’t wearing a mask. I went into work two days later, very nervous (bc I knew there was that possibility I would be told I need to wear a mask) but also excited; it felt unreal. We were about an hour into all the preliminaries of getting me setup and put in the system, when…the manager remembered the masks 😮😱 Nooo! I was so disappointed. I told him that I would not be able to wear a mask, because of health reasons. He said I would need to if I weren’t vxd. It turns out, that I had to tell him I wouldn’t be able to work there. He and the lady manager who had interviewed me were genuinely disappointed, and said they had been looking forward to my working there. The lady said she would let me know if they ever changed their policy (but I highly doubt they will.) Anyway, needless to say, that was a crashing disappointment. But I finally mostly surrendered it to the Lord, tho I have to admit, I’m still hanging on to the possibility that the opportunity might again present itself. [End of copy and paste 😜]
Ok, so I have so many specifications for a job that this search seems quite hopeless, tbh. But I’m trying to trust that God knows what’s best, and that He already has this in His plans. I’ve been running into several dead-ends.
I’m so happy bc I’ve finally graduated from high school! The day of the ceremony was on the same day I lost the job, but it was still special–simple but special. We had it just as a family, but it was fun. The songs I had chosen for us to sing were “Trust and Obey”, He Leadeth Me” (two of my favorite hymns), and “To God Be the Glory”. We ate chicken sandwiches, then I opened gifts and cards. Afterward, we had a cherry-blueberry dessert 😋 and finished it out with hitting a balloon around the table.
I’m looking forward to my 19th birthday in 4 days! 😃 Other than that, I really don’t have too much planned for August (that I can think of at the moment.) But one idea that I’ve been playing around with is taking online lessons with French and Spanish teachers. 😊 I really want to learn new languages, and I think (after watching my sister teach foreigners English online) that online would be a great place to start. 😁 The question now is when.
I hope I didn’t put you to sleep by my long post 😂 I could write on and on, but I’d better not.
I hope you have a blessed and lovely week, Rosy! Love ya, friend! 💗❤
