October 2021, Recap

Hey everyone! πŸ˜ƒ

How was everyone’s month? October went by so fast for me! That may be because I spent more than half of it pretty sick with Covid. More on that later. Thankfully, I’m getting really close to being being better!

October started with us still in Arizona, visiting our friends there. It was a really good time!! October 2nd was my good friends, Maggie and Jon’s wedding. ❀️

It was a really beautiful wedding!! ❀️

Love these people!!
Me with my amazing friends, Gabby and Kyra

It was a great trip!! It was amazing too see our friends there after quite a while.

We drove home soon after, and everyone was super tired from the trip. We all got sick almost as soon as we arrived. πŸ˜‚ I didn’t do a whole lot during that time except sleep, read and do a bit of school when I could. That sickness lasted for about a week I think, and we were all glad when it was over. πŸ™‚

I decorated my bulletin board and dresser for fall. I pressed some leaves, printed some pictures, and my friend Kyra made the “thankful” sign. I love how everything ended up looking!! 🍁

Mmm, pumpkin pie!! πŸ₯§

Playing Catan with some of my siblings. πŸ˜€

Some friends of ours that we don’t get to see very often visited us for Church. It was a really good time!!

Vannesa, me, Yeseña and Grace. ❀️ It was really good to visit with them!!

Soon after that, we got sick… again. This time even worse – we’re pretty sure it was Covid. Almost all of us lost our taste and smell, which was not fun! It lasted a couple of weeks, but thankfully, we’re all mostly better now.

Since we were sick for so much of October, I don’t really have many more pictures or interesting things that happened. It was sad to be sick so much then, because I love October – but hopefully November will be better!!

In October, I

I didn’t end up reading very much October – maybe it’s because I burned myself out reading 16 books in September, haha! I’m hoping to read more in November.

Despite being sick a lot of the time, October was still a great month. πŸ˜€ As Anne of Green Gables once said… “I’m so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers.” πŸ˜‰ I’m glad we have Novembers too, and I’m really excited for this month!

Love,

Rosy

What did you do in October? Do you have any plans for November?

  1. Oh sickness… we had Covid last month too. And I don’t have my taste back yet, which is annoying. We’re all better now, though. Looks like you had a good month other than being sick. πŸ™‚

    • Yay, yess me too!!! πŸ˜€ I’ve decided that next time, I’m not gonna be sick for 3/4 of it. Brilliant, I know. I tried it, but it’s highly NOT recommended….πŸ˜‰πŸ€£ Sooo excited for November!!! πŸ˜€

  2. Yes! October did go by fast!–Well, it was really this whole year that did, but yeah πŸ˜‚
Ooh, weddings are fun! I’ve been to maybe three or so in my lifetime. One of them was for our babysitter. And it was soo sad, because we didn’t get to stay for the mini reception. Another couple had decided to schedule their “recommitment” wedding that same day, so we had to do a split and go to the ceremony of one and the reception of the other. πŸ˜• Our babysitter was disappointed, and that was one of the last times we saw her in person. Now she has two really cute little children. (Anyway, I’d better stop my ranting and get on with my comment xD)
I love the way you decorated your room! 😍 And those pumpkin pies look really πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹ I’m already ready for Thanksgiving so that I can have some, myself
Oh, man. Having covid is not fun πŸ˜• I’m sorry that most of your month was taken up being sick, and that now you’ve lost your taste and smell 😭 I hope you get it back soon. I have a friend who, after getting his wisdom teeth taken out, lost his taste and smell. He still doesn’t have it completely back after a few months. 😬 (But he does not think it now has to do with the extraction.)
After my mom had her birthday, she took a few days trip to WV for my grandpa’s birthday. She and her parents stayed in a cute little cabin. (My grandparents’ dog was trying to be with my mom as much as possible during that time πŸ˜‚)
I had to help my brother with his school, and do the cooking (of course I burned the chicken and carrots xD) and laundry.
And then my siblings and I all got sick with a cold my sister brought home from work. Thankfully I only got a tiny sore throat and a runny nose. I’m basically over it now, tho.
And last but not least, my workplace is now closed on Mondays, which is one of my usual work days. So now I’m only working Friday evenings…And I’m looking to get a supplementary job at another restaurant nearby. I hope it works out
Have a lovely week, friend! 😘 (And Happy Early Birthday 😜)
