Hello friends! Thank you so much for checking out my blog. It means a lot to me! ❤️

My name is Rosanna Joy Marr – I usually go by Rosy. I’ve been blogging for a little over 7 years, though not always consistently. I am 19 years old, and the oldest of nine children. My family lives in Mexico as missionaries to the indigenous Tarahumara Indians. We have been here, also, for a little over 7 years.

I am first and foremost a Christian. I have been saved through God’s grace, and I love Jesus with all of my heart. My goal is to bring honor and glory to Him in everything that I do.

I enjoy doing all kinds of things, and have roughly a million and a half hobbies, give or take. 😜 Some of my favorites are:

~Reading. I love books, as you probably know if you’ve been on my blog for any amount of time, or know me in the slightest. XD My favorite genres are Christian fiction, mystery, historical fiction, contemporary fiction, some romance and some fantasy/sci-fi. I am open to pretty much everything though!

~Playing instruments and singing. My main instruments I play are piano, guitar, ukulele and the psaltry. I have also played a bit of the accordion, recorder, hammered dulcimer, and harmonica. I really love singing as well.

~Writing. Mostly songs, poems and non-fiction articles/essays. I want to write fiction, but I’m not very good at it at this point. My favorite thing to write is songs though. Here is a song I wrote and recorded back in 2021, along with my friend Kyra who’s playing the guitar. 🙂

~Blogging and Youtubing. I really enjoy making content to post online. On my Youtube channel I post lifestyle videos, vlogs, music, and some art. Click here to check it out!

~Art. I haven’t done much art in a while, but I enjoy acrylic painting and pencil sketching. I want to get into watercolor!

~Photography and videography. I carry my camera almost everywhere I go, and use it all the time!

~Bullet journaling. Again, if you’ve been on my blog for very long, you’ll know that I do a lot of this. I love making pretty and fun monthly spreads for planning and tracking different aspects of my life!

I also enjoy writing letters to friends, talking to friends online, spending time with my family, cooking, eating, traveling, making friendship bracelets, listening to music, learning new things, and finding joy in the little things in life!

My favorite verses of the Bible are:

“So do not fear, for I am with you;
    do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you;
    I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
Isaiah 41:10

 I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.Romans 8:18

Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.1 Peter 5:7

“The Lord is my light and my salvation—
    whom shall I fear?
The Lord is the stronghold of my life—
    of whom shall I be afraid?”
Psalm 27:1

  1. What a lovely blog!!! ❤ I'm the fifth child of ten children and my family is Baptist missionaries in England! We're homeschooled too, in which I just graduated (I'm 18)! Your hair is gorgeous, by the way! I've always wanted red hair, but I'll be content with my blonde! 😉 Writing, photography, and horses are some of my favourite things too!

    • Hi! Thanks for commenting! Thanks! Wow, that’s cool that you are missionaries in England! I love the English accent! Are you from the U.S.? Aw, thanks! I love it too! Your hair is very pretty too. Do people call you Rosy ever? That would be cool to have the same nick-name! My full name is Rosanna. Do you have your own blog?

      God bless!

      • There’s a lot of different British accents in England, so you like all of them?! 😉 Yes, I am! My youngest sister was born here though – we’ve been here a little over seven years now!
        Yep, I’ve been called Rosy before – mainly by my siblings! 🙂
        No I don’t have a blog, just a wordpress account. Actually, yeah, I made a private blog, but I don’t use it – I’m taking advantage of having a wordpress account! 😀

  2. Oo we have a lot in common! I’m a missionary kid in Ecuador (South America,, for some reason people always think it’s in Asia??). I also speak almost fluent Spanish, I can read a book in a day if I wanted to, I listen to music way to much (so much so that my mom banned it when I’m doing schoolwork, haha). I’m going to assume you are 15 now. I turn 15 in June, haha. The only big difference is I’m brunnette and short, haha. Que tengas un buen dia 🙂 x

    • That’s super cool! I had to chime in because 1) my family does mission work worldwide, but we’ve been to Latin America 7 times, 2) I turn 15 in June too, 3) I listen to a ton of music, 4) I love to read, and 5) I’m conversational (ish?) in Spanish haha.

    • Hey, sorry I didn’t answer this comment… I have a hard time keeping up with comments on my about page for some weird reason… XD Bad excuse, but ok… ;P
      It’s so neat how much we have in common! What, people think Ecuador is Asia? 😮 XD Wow! 😂 And you know, I have always thought it would be so cool to go to Ecuador. It sounds like a very interesting place. What is it like where you live? Like, do you live near a city, or is it jungly there? 😀
      Have an awesome day! 😊 ❤

  4. Hi Rosy! I’m Ellen. 🙂 I recently found your blog through Laura @ Flowers In My Basket, and I thought I’d drop by your “About” page and say “hi.” Like you, I’m a sister to eight AMAZING siblings, and I love listening to music, cuddling with babies, playing with my sisters’ hair, and writing letters and stories in my notebook or on the computer. I am so thankful to hear that you and your family are missionaries in Mexico, and of course I’ll pray for you! ❤

    Blessings,
    Ellen

  5. Hi, Rosy! You’ve probably noticed me commenting on DOTL. 😉 I thought I’d stop by your blog, and I am REALLY enjoying it! I’m intrigued that you and your family are missionaries. My family and I were missionaries to Hungary for a few years, and I feel called to be a missionary. God bless you, and I’ll be praying for you. By the way, your hair is SO PRETTY! 🥰💗
