On Tuesday and Wednesday of this week, Dad, Bekah, Ruthie and I went on a trip to the Border (as the title indicates…). It’s about five to six hours there, depending on how many of our family are going.😉
We got up early on Tuesday morning, at about 4:30 and left at about 5:00.

This is what the lights of Cuauhtemoc (where we live) look like when the car hits a bump… It was the best I could do on a dirt road.

More lights.

We ate somewhere around 7:30. Breakfast was peanut butter sandwiches and oranges Lizzie made the night before. (She didn’t make the oranges, though.)

We stopped at Oxxo, and Dad got some Coffee to keep himself awake.
*Skips a few hours…*

When we reached the border, the line wasn’t too long, thankfully.
While we were waiting, I photographed the Mexican flag.

We made it across uneventfully, and we were soon zooming down the road in New Mexico. I don’t know if you can see it very well, but El Paso is right up against that mountain, in Texas.

The city on our side of that big red X is El Paso, and on the other side is a city in Mexico. Don’t ask me what the X stands for…

Dad put his hat on backwards.🤣

The clouds were so pretty!!!

And this is a picture of me… eating a grape?
The building where we get our mail.

Opening boxes, so that we can fit everything into the car.

This is… the building next to the building where we get our mail. I was bored…
While I was waiting in the car, I also took some pictures of planes going by, using my zoom lens.

In the evening, we went out to eat at Chilis with a friend, and then we went to a Bible study with him. We stayed in the home of one of the families from the study. In the morning, we got up at about 5:30, and left at around 6:00.

This is the rosing sun, through our dirty car window.

“Welcome to Chihuahua-The big state” Chihuahua is the name of the state in Mexico that we live in. It’s the biggest state.
We made it back across the border with no problems, again, praise God. And then we were on our way home!

“Don’t leave us!!!”

Scenery on the road. It got really pretty in some places. Well, in most places!

Getting closer to home.

Almost home! You can see the big white van.🙂

Our house. Complete with a few bikes strewn here and there…
Homecoming hugs and kisses☺️

Aww, my sweet brother Philip! (My sweet, dirty brother Phillip!…)
What about you? Do you like car trips? What do you like to do to pass the time?
