I Wrote a Song… :)

Hey guys! 😀

So… I did a thing. I wrote a song! Ok, I’ve written several songs. But, either they didn’t turn out very good, or they’re just the kind of poetry you don’t really wanna go around showing everyone. You know, like a journal entry kind of poem. 😉

This song I wrote is one of my favorites I’ve written. I actually got inspired after watching It’s a Wonderful Life with my siblings. I shall I say, re-inspired? 😉 At the end of the movie, they sing Auld Lang Syne, a traditional Scottish Folk song. I’ve heard a lot of songs to the tune of Auld Lang Syne, and I’ve always wanted to write one to that tune. But, I never really got around to it. When I watched the movie, I got re-inspired and spent the next couple of days working on this song. Here ’tis!! 😉

My first A Cappella!

I’ve been wanting to make an a cappella video for quite a while, but have never gotten around to it. Until Saturday! 😀 Last Saturday I finally decided I was going to make an a cappella video that day. Fist though, I had to figure out what song to sing… I flipped through the hymnal for a while and finally came across the song Freely, Freely, and decided that it would sound pretty good in a cappella. No matter that I didn’t hardly even know the sing… I mean, I’d heard it, and even sung it before, but by no means did I have the words memorized! xD

So, I spent Saturday morning learning the words, and had it pretty much learned by that afternoon. (It’s not a hard song to learn.) I went over to our guest house so that I (probably!) wouldn’t have kids talking to me or asking me questions every few minutes, lol! XD

After maybe… an hour and a half maybe, I had all the recordings recorded. 😀 After that, I came back into the house, and put them all together on the computer. It turned out a lot better than I expected! 😀 Like, I was actually really (pleasantly) surprised!

Oh, and sorry for the horrible lighting… It was dork outside, and all there was in the building was a little bare lightbulb. I was able to up the brightness a bit, but still… XD

The song, It is Well, was written by Horatio Spafford, and is one of my (many!) favorite hymns. It has such encouraging words, and whenever I hear it, I remember that Jesus really died for me, and it is truly well with my soul! ❤

You are my All in All

Jesus should be our everything. He should be, without exception, our all in all. Our hearts should be bursting with praise and gratitude to Him!

He should be our King of kings, Lord of lords and God of gods! The question is, do we have anything in our life that is taking that away from us? Anything that is coming between us and our relationship with the Lord? If there is, we want to do all we can to rid ourselves of whatever that is. Then Jesus can truly be our all in all!

James’ Piano Debut

Anyway, while we were in Colorado, James was was drumming on the piano, and I got an idea… This is the result of my creative mind… lol, jk!
