Today we celebrated my 17th birthday!!! Technically my birthday isn’t until tomorrow, but since tomorrow is Sunday and were busy all day, we decided to celebrate the day before. (You won’t catch me complaining!) 😂 😜
For my birthday meal, I had chicken nuggets, fried potatoes, salad and garlic bread.
Yum!
And for dessert….. We had homemade ice cream (which I made, by the way 😁) And guys. It tasted better than store bought ice cream! Like, seriously. Not to toot my own horn or anything, but it was amazing! 😋 😂
We had a bunch of toppings on top, such as chocolate sauce, strawberry sauce and caramel sauce (which I also made), blueberries, pecans and sprinkles. AND. The only thing that had any sugar was the sprinkles. 😀
It was all really good. It’s been 4 and a half hours, and I’m still full…! 😂
Making the Sauces
The Ice Cream!! YUMMM.The whole family (except for me) at the table. 😀
My family gave my some awesome gifts! (Thanks guys!!!) 😀 ❤️
This picture was taken at the same time as the picture above it, just from a different angle! 😂
All of my siblings and I! ❤
My sister Lizzie, did a mini photoshoot of my. She did a great job on the pictures! (Also, I’m wearing a sweater my parent’s gave me for my birthday!) 😁
Lizzie and I, being our normal, weird selves… 😂 😄Several of my siblings and I 😀
Thanks to my family for an awesome birthday!!!!! It was a blast!
And um… It’s kind, really hard to believe I’m 17….! 😂 (Well, as of tomorrow) 😉 Like how am I thought old?! 👵🏻 I don’t feel that old… Maybe that’s because I haven’t had my actual birthday yet! 🤣 Maybe I’ll wake up tomorrow feeling different. XD Lol!!
Well, I’m signing off for now! Hope y’all are having a great day, aaaaand… happy birthday to me. 😜 😂 😁 👋
Sorry I couldn’t think of a better title… That was cheesy… But hey, speaking of cheese, this post is actually about grilled cheese sandwiches! Well, kinda. Ok, you’re probably confused by now, so let me explain. 🙂
So, our family has this thing about how a grilled cheese sandwich should be cut. And whether or not eggs should be eaten with honey. (Totally gross in my opinion!!!) 😛 And we love arguing our opinions. In fun of course!
And now, we what to see what you think about these debatable topics in our family!
(Note: If you’re reading this in your WR, you’ll have to go to my actual site to see the polls. And please do!!!!!)
The Butter/Table Knife Mystery
All of us kids have grown up calling this a butter knife. So did my Mom. But certainly not my Dad! XD
Although, technically, this is called a table knife, we want to know what your family calls it.
The Honey on Eggs Mystery
Who eats honey on their scrambled eggs?!?!?! My Dad.
He literally likes to put scrambled eggs on his waffle or pancakes, and drizzle it with honey.
WHAT. 😮
Kind of gross.
But what do you think? Obviously, the answers is… “Please noooo…”. But I promise to still be your friend if you say yes. 😉
And last, but not least…
The Grilled Cheese Mystery
There are many different ways you can cut a grilled cheese sandwiches. Diagonally, in quarters, in half… Or in the shape of a shoe. 🤨 But which way is the right way?
Diagonally duh.
And that’s it! Be sure to tell me in the comments what you voted for!!! (Since Crowd-signal won’t let me see who voted unless I pay them money… )
Sorry for the ultra long title, lol… 😛 Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!! 😀
For Thanksgiving, we invited some friends over, and had a great time with them! We ate yummy food, played Capture the Flag and Kick the Can, had pogo stick contests and more! 😀
I made a pumpkin pie for Thanksgiving… and for my birthday. Since my birthday happens to be on Thanksgiving this year!!! 🎂🎊🎉 😀 I’M 15!!! 😳 😁 Finally. 😛
So now that I’ve said Happy Thanksgiving…
Okay, yeah. I know, it’s not quite time for that. But, ARE YOU NOT FEELING IN THE CHRISTMAS MOOD ALREADY??? I am. 😉
Oh, and my friend, Laura, tagged me for this neat tag!
The Thankful Things Tag!
I figured I’d better do before Thanksgiving time is waaaay over… Of course, we can, and should, be thankful ALL YEAR LONG, right?!?!? 😀

A loving family, and all my siblings. ❤
Our uncle and aunt came over, and we had a great time visiting with them!
Sorry, I couldn’t help posting SOOO many pictures… 😛
I realize that I haven’t been posting a whole lot about daily life pictures lately… So, to make up, here I am to show you our last few days… in pictures! 😀
So, we have this young lady from Kansas staying with us for the next couple months. 😀 Her name is April. We have been having such a fun time with her!
Doing each other’s hair! April is the one at the top. 🙂
April made these delicious cinnamon rolls!
Those last two pictures were taken when April and I went with Dad up to the mountains, where he preaches every other week. We had a great time together! ❤
“Sort of” accidental photobomb… 😛
Making apple pie! Yum!
Eating apple pie… Even better! Especially with the homemade cinnamon ice-cream… :O
Writing the script for the movie we are currently making! (More on that in a later post! :D)
Me working on the movie
April and I on a walk! 😀
Lol, I was just playing around and being silly, and April snapped this picture… xD 😛
Well, that’s it for now, ya’ll! Hope you enjoyed the pics! 😀 ❤
A few days ago, I was supposed to make pizza for supper. I decided to make little individual ones, so everyone could have their own. The kids loved them, and everyone, especially Philip (age 4) was proud to be able to claim that he ate a whole pizza.
Here is a short little video I put together about making them. Some of the scenes are a little bit (a lot…) shaky, because I was trying to hold the camera in my hands or around my neck at the same time as I was making the pizzas… Sorry!
Hi everybody! Can you believe it’s already March?! I mean, we just celebrated New Years! Even though it’s a bit late, here is a simple overview of some of what went on in the Marr family household this last month.
Well, probably the main event of this month was the hot dog and Marshmallow roast we did at church a few weeks ago. This is the second time we have done it, but last time, it was to dark to get good pictures. I did this time though, thankfully.
Lucia accidentally set her marshmallow on fire, causing many laughs.
The food table, before and after the roast. It was impossible to keep clean!
The food was good, though!
And so were the marshmallows!
The younger kids played and rode bikes.
And, if you have been following my blog, you probably know about our trip to El Paso.
Pictures with my little sister, Susy.
And a picture with my friends Karen and Jacqueline.
Gracie and I matched clothes for a Sunday.
Aww! Picture with Philip.
Playing soccer after church.
Andy was the goalie. The ball wasn’t coming, so he decided to rest a bit…
Then, he had a brilliant idea! However, the other team wasn’t too enthusiastic…
Well, that’s about all of the important stuff.
What did you do during the month of February? Are you excited about March?
Here is a basic review, made up of mostly pictures, of the month of January at the Marr household.
WARNING : PICTURE OVERLOAD AHEAD
I got to capture quite a few cool sunsets this month on my camera.
And some pictures of the moon. Taking good pictures of the moon is really hard! You’d know, if you’ve ever tried.
A lot of hair cutting, too. I got to cut my little sisters bangs and Mom cut my hair shorter. I really like the new look!
Little James is growing up so much! Here he is, wrestling with big brother Philip.
And of few other cute pics of him.
I have been enjoying learning to drive a lot.
Visiting after church
Over the several days, I have made three different flavors of marshmallows, each a double batch. And, just so you know, we don’t usually make marshmallows nearly so often, but we were going to have our Grandparents over. Unfortunately, they were’t able to make it, so now we have a lot of marshmallows in the house. The flavors I made were, in order from right to left, chocolate covered cherrie, eggnog and chocolate peppermint. Now you may be thinking how strange eggnog might taste. I was thinking that too, while I was making them, but they turned out better than I expected they would. (There is not actually any eggs in them, BTW. It’s just regular marshmallows with cinnamon, nutmeg and allspice in them.)
Well, that’s pretty much it for this month.
~🌹
P.S. I would love to hear from you in the comments!
Last week, I got to make these delicious chocolate covered cherrie marshmallows.
We have also made chocolate covered peppermint marshmallows, plain peppermint, cinnamon, orange, chocolate and vanilla. We still looking for for flavor ideas to try next. Do you have any ideas? If so, I would love to hear about it in the comments!
