The Bookworm’s Tag! πŸ“š

Hey everyone!! πŸ˜€

I haven’t done a tag in quite a while, so I thought it’d be fun to do one. I was tagged by Kristina Hall for The Bookworm’s Tag. Book-themed tags are my favorite types, so this should be fun. πŸ˜€ (Check out Kristina’s answers HERE) πŸ™‚

On to Kristina’s amazing, bookish questions!!

How many books do you read on average per month?

I try to read an average of 10 books each month – sometimes it ends up being more a less, depending on how busy I am or if I’m in a reading slump. (That usually happens when I read TOO many books and burn myself out, lol!)

What’s your favorite time of the day (or night) to read?

Between 9 to 11 pm is my favorite time to read. Or while I’m supposed to be doing school, but I try not to do that too much….. πŸ˜† 😜

Do you prefer physical copies or e-books?

Physical BY FAR!!!!β€Ί

What book has surprised you most in the last month?

Anne of Windy Poplars by L.M. Montgomery surprised my by how much I didn’t really care for it, and The Minstrel by Malachi Cyr by how GOOD it was! (Which didn’t really surprise me, but it was just a lot better than I imagined, even though I started it with super high expectations!)

If you could meet any author, whom would you chose?

Most of my favorite authors I already know personally, but some of my favorites that I haven’t met would be C.R. Hedgecock and Douglas Bond. Also, Elisabeth Elliot, although we won’t meet here on this earth. πŸ˜„

Who’s the best new author you’ve discovered recently?

Jane Austen, Perry Elisabeth and A.L.O.E. I’ve known about them a long time, but only recently read some of their works.

If you had to estimate, how many books are in your home collection?

Of my own books, maybe 20. (Not enough!!) But of the family’s books….. I think thousands would be a safe estimate!!! Of courseβ€Ί, many of those are school related, and my dad’s theology books. But we have the equivalent of 10 bookshelves! πŸ˜‰

What will make you not finish a book?

If it’s burned with fire and a bomb, promptly before being ripped to shreds. Just kidding! If it’s boring, or just not edifying or God honoring. Very rarely do I feel a need to not finish a book I start though. πŸ™‚

What’s your favorite book cover?

Oh, hmm that’s hard! I’m not sure of my absolute favorite, but I love the covers in the Vintage Jane Austen series. (I’ve only read one of them, Presumption and Partiality by my friend Rebekah Jones, but I really want to read the rest someday!)

How big is your to-read pile?

That I have in hand maybe 15 or 20 books, several of which I’ll be reading for the second or third time. That I don’t have, and want to read… probably hundreds!! πŸ˜‚

Great questions, Kristina – that was a lot of fun!! πŸ˜€
