I realize that, yet again, I have skipped a reviewing a month… I didn’t post a recap of April, because I had very few photos, and wasn’t really feeling motivated to do it. So yeah. Sorry about that. XD
Whatever the case, I’m back with a recap of the month of May! 😀
Near the beginning of this month, the Oduber family, who was moving across Mexico to a town a few hours from us, stayed at our house for a few days. It was really fun to get to know their family!
A couple of weeks later, one of the churches my dad frequently preaches at held a conference. The Oduber family was able to come again, and stayed at our house during the duration of the conference. It was fun, and the conference was really good! Quite a few people came. 😀
Lizzie and I went on a short walk/hike with some of the women. We climbed to the top of a hill, and the view from up there was amazing!!! Sadly, I didn’t have a camera, so I don’t have pictures of the view. But it was really fun!
My sister Lizzie, turned 15 near the end of May. 😀 The first two pictures of of her birthday, and the last one is from a photoshoot I did of her bit later.
Memes I saved in May
I’m thinking about making this a regular section in these recap posts because who doesn’t love good memes? 😂 Here are a few of my favorites that I saved last month. 🙂
Books I read in May
Having a Mary Spirit by Joanna Weaver (5 stars)
Kilmeny of the Orchard by L.M. Montgomery (5 stars)
How are you all? I’m so sorry I haven’t posted in quite a long time! 23 days to be exact… Yikes!! Things have been pretty busy here, and I’ve just been lacking the necessary motivation for blogging. I’m here now, but I can promise how consistent I’ll be, hehe! I will try though. 😀 I really want to get back into it.
Anyway, about half way though March, I realized something terrible… I forgot to do a February review!!!! That’s the first time I’ve downright forgotten in… probably the history of me doing these. I’ve skipped some I think, but never forgotten. So I’m just going to do both of the last two months in this post. February was waaay too long ago to remember almost anything… But I’ll do my best! 😂
*Long, awkward silence*
Yep, I told you I wouldn’t be able to remember much… LOL. XD
Our friends Pablo and Anna, and their kids visited us one Sunday for, and after church. We had a fun time with them!
Enjoy the Poodle Skirt by Kate (Willis) Hopman (5 stars)
Through the Fire by Dianne Nobler (4 stars)
A Soldier Finds Grace by Katherine St. Clair (5 stars)

Little Women by Louisa May Alcott (5 stars)
Penelope’s Pursuit by Chautonna Havig (5 stars!)
Eat that Frog by Brian Tracy (3.4 stars)
A Midsummer Night’s Dream by William Shakespeare (4 stars) (Not pictured)
My favorites were probably A Soldier finds Grace, Little Women and Penelope’s Pursuit.
I spent the month of March doing TONS of math, so that I could start 12th grade. I finished most of 11th awhile ago, but was behind in math, so…. not fun….!! Eventually I got caught up enough to start 12th grade, which was really exciting!! Hopefully I will do a post on what I’m doing for 12th grade for you all. 😀
I also appear to have taken little to no photos in March. Ugh, I’ll have to work on that in April. Meanwhile, let me go scrounge up what I can from March. 🙂
Selfies with siblings 😂. ❤️
My grandparents visited us fora few days! We had a lot of fun with them. 😀
A few of our goats have kidded! I don’t have a particular liking for goats (at all), but the little kids are adorable!!! 😍 Unfortunately, the mother was not accepting them for a while, and we had to hold her down to help them nurse. XD I helped with that for a bit, and did not enjoy it one little bit, LOL! I survived though. 😀 By now, the mother is letting them nurse, a lot more at least. 🙂
My entire family signed up for the Spring100, a challenge where you try to walk 100 miles in Spring. A few of us have done it in past years, but this year we’re all doing it. 😀 It’s been a lot of fun, taking walks together!! I think I’ve done around 12 or 13 miles so far. 🙂
I spent the last bit of March feeling pretty sick with a cold… I’m still bit sick, but getting a lot better, thankfully!
Stressed Out: A Practical, Biblical Approach to Anxiety by Todd Friel (4 stars)
Between Christmas, and seeing some of our family and friend, December was a great month!! For once, I don’t think that I will have any trouble finding good photos for you guys. I have lots to go through, so let’s just get into it!
In early December, we got together with some friends of ours to celebrate Thanksgiving. Late I know, but that was the time that worked for everyone. 😉 We had a really good time!
My brother, Andy, broke his arm while we were there, playing Capture the Flag. Everyone signed his cast.
We celebrated Christmas as a family on December 17th, since we were going to be on a trip for Christmas day. We had cinnamon rolls, bacon and eggs for breakfast, which was really good!!
We played the Christmas Ball together, which is another family tradition. You can see how it works HERE. It’s a lot of fun!! I didn’t get any pictures of it, but you can watch us doing it in thisvlog. 😀 It was an awesome day, celebrating the birth of Jesus. 😄
I did lot of baking in December. I made cookies, marshmallows (twice), enchiladas, cinnamon rolls, and more!
I did a mini photoshoot of my brother James (5). He’s adorable!! I love this pictures. 💕
On December 21st, we left on our trip to my grandparent’s house. We visited some friends on the way. 😀
Over the next few days, we had a great time visiting with my grandparents, uncles and aunts!
While there, I straightened my hair for the first time in quite a few years! It was a lot of fun, and I really like how it turned out. It’s so different though!!
It was a great, and memorable time! 😀
We drove home on the 25th, and the rest of December was just recovering from the trip, and getting school and chores going again. 🙂
In December, I…

I forgot to add that last book to my collage, which is too bad, since it’s one of my absolute favorites!!
How was everyone’s month? October went by so fast for me! That may be because I spent more than half of it pretty sick with Covid. More on that later. Thankfully, I’m getting really close to being being better!
October started with us still in Arizona, visiting our friends there. It was a really good time!! October 2nd was my good friends, Maggie and Jon’s wedding. ❤️
It was a really beautiful wedding!! ❤️
It was a great trip!! It was amazing too see our friends there after quite a while.
We drove home soon after, and everyone was super tired from the trip. We all got sick almost as soon as we arrived. 😂 I didn’t do a whole lot during that time except sleep, read and do a bit of school when I could. That sickness lasted for about a week I think, and we were all glad when it was over. 🙂
I decorated my bulletin board and dresser for fall. I pressed some leaves, printed some pictures, and my friend Kyra made the “thankful” sign. I love how everything ended up looking!! 🍁
Mmm, pumpkin pie!! 🥧
Playing Catan with some of my siblings. 😀
Some friends of ours that we don’t get to see very often visited us for Church. It was a really good time!!
Vannesa, me, Yeseña and Grace. ❤️ It was really good to visit with them!!
Soon after that, we got sick… again. This time even worse – we’re pretty sure it was Covid. Almost all of us lost our taste and smell, which was not fun! It lasted a couple of weeks, but thankfully, we’re all mostly better now.
Since we were sick for so much of October, I don’t really have many more pictures or interesting things that happened. It was sad to be sick so much then, because I love October – but hopefully November will be better!!
In October, I…
~A Man Called Peter (5 stars!!)
~Scout and the Abandoned Mill (4 stars)
~Memorable Women of the Puritan Times Volume One (4 Stars)
~The first part of Little Women (5 Stars)
I didn’t end up reading very much October – maybe it’s because I burned myself out reading 16 books in September, haha! I’m hoping to read more in November.
Despite being sick a lot of the time, October was still a great month. 😀 As Anne of Green Gables once said… “I’m so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers.” 😉 I’m glad we have Novembers too, and I’m really excited for this month!
What did you do in October? Do you have any plans for November?
Hey everyone! I’M BACK!! After a trip, and getting sick for a few days, I’m finally here and ready to blog again. I’ll have more details about that later! 😁
Oh and yeah, so sorry this post is so late. Again, I was sick. XD Let’s see how much of September I can even remember – at least from the beginning!
*ALERT: Lots and lots of pictures ahead…. Enter at your own risk* ;P
~Well, you already know about our Apple Harvest. That was a good productive time!
~Right after that, my Grandma and (13 year old) Aunt Abigail came to stay with us while my parents went on a trip together. It was so much fun to get to spend some time with them!
Lizzie and I with Abigail
I love all these pictures of Grandma and each of us kids! ❤️
Mom and Dad went to the Copper canyon together, which is a few hours away from here. They rode the world’s longest zip-line, hiked, went boating and did other fun stuff together!
When they got back, we had a hotdog roast for my brother Andy’s 13th birthday
We planted pumpkins for the first time ever, and I love them! I definitely want to start planting them every year. They’re so pretty! Can’t wait to make some pies and other pumpkin-y treats with them. 😀
After that, I think we just did normal stuff, got sick, and got ready for our trip. So skip all that, and now you’re caught up to the fun part! You’re welcome. 😉 😂 😀
~FAMILY CAMP! This was probably my highlight of the entire year… It was amazing to spend a couple of days with our great friends at Heritage Baptist Church. I don’t have a whole ton of pictures – instead I’m making a video. But it’s not done yet, so. 😅 I do have some though!
We sang a LOT during camp. Friday night, we played guitar and sang until around 11:30 I think, and I pretty much lost my voice the rest of the night.😅 Totally worth it though, because I enjoyed that time so much. 😀
My fellow redhead, Gabby, and I braided our hair together, which was really fun/funny! 😅
Camp was amazing – way better than I’m making it sound at the moment. 😂 Hopefully I’ll be able to share the video I’m making about it later. For now, gotta keep working on it! 😉
~While there, we also visited another church and had some good fellowship with friends we hadn’t seen in awhile, as well as some new friends. 😀
~After Family Camp, we stayed in AZ for another week or so to visit with friends, and also for a wedding! (Pictures of that will have to be in a future post, since that happened in October, not September… lol.)
Anyway, we had a great visiting our friends, the Hublers. We got to spend a good bit of the day with them. We took a spur of the moment trip to the store for ice cream, which we brought home and ate with homemade cookies. So fun!!!!
A few days later we went to the Petzold’s house, which was awesome, and a whole new fun adventure in itself!
I did some recording with Kyra, which was a lot of fun!!
Last time we were together, we accidentally took a picture where it looked like Annika’s arm was really long. We decided to try and redo that picture, and here are our results. I think it turned out pretty good, haha!! 😂
Well, I’d probably better start to bring this post to an end now, so let’s get on with this month’s stats. 🙂

Can you believe it’s already September?! I’m especially excited for this month, because 1) AUTUMN! and 2) We’re planning on taking a trip to go to Family Camp with our Church there. We haven’t seen them in a year now (which is waayyy too long), and we’re really, really, extremely excited!!! That’s near the end of the month, and I’m very sure you’ll hear lots about it in future posts. 😀 So exciting!
This post, however, is about August, not September, so let’s get into it!! 😀
Early in the month, our family traveled to a town a few hours away to visit some good friends of ours and to start of some evangelical meetings there. We stayed for a couple of days, and had a really good time!
A bunch of us got up early(ish) in the morning to go hiking with our friends in the mountains Ok, large hills by the town. We hiked for a couple of miles, but it felt like longer, as some parts weren’t super easy going. It was loads of fun though! The little kids did a great job keeping up. 😄
The view was really pretty from the top!!
Later that afternoon we played soccer until we were tired out, and then they taught us a Mexican game that I forget the name of…. It was kinda similar to baseball, but also quite different. I don’t even know how to play baseball. But they told me it was similar, so. Lol!
After that we rested, and watched the kids get wet and muddy, and catch toads. It was really hot and dry, so the water felt good. 😂
That evening we held a meeting inside our friend’s pizza place, which went well. 🙂 We left at around… 8:00 maybe? And got home around 11 or 12. 😄 It was a really good time!!
I can’t think of any other major events or anything that happened after that, so here are a few random photos for you guys. 😀
Some pictures of our family on a walk. I got carried away taking pictures with my brother’s camera. The selfie stick was fun, lol! I won’t post all the pictures (there were a lot XD), but here are a couple of the best ones.

Hello my dear blog readers! I hope this post finds you well, and in good spirits. And if not, it is my great hope that this post will bestow unto you joy and pleasure, and that you may leave happy and contented.
Ok, that was slightly weird, but hey, it’s true. (Even if it is worded in a slightly unique manner.) Lol!!😂
Anyway!! Am I the only one who is sitting here in shocked silence, because JUNE IS OVER?! I am currently speechless, but at least I can still type. We’re half way done with 2021! Crazy!! BUT EXCITING!!!
The month of June went very well (for the most part) for us. Save one aspect, which I will discuss at a later juncture. (I don’t know why I keep talking like this, LOL! Maybe it’s because I’ve been reading old books…? Ok, yeah probably. Deal with it.) 🤣
So here I am, at 5:25 in the afternoon, drinking ice tea and writing this blog post. 😀
~ Early in the month, we had some friends over for the day, which was fun! We played Apples to Apples, and… I won. XD (Not bragging, just stating the facts! LOL!!) We like to play that the cards you win are supposed to describe you… That can get pretty crazy, haha!!
What do y’all think? Do these words describe me??? 🤣
~I’ve been walking a lot lately. I try to get it 2 miles a day. (well sometimes…!) Listening to podcasts motivates me to actually do it. My favorite podcast to listen to is Revive our Hearts with Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth. 😀
~We went to Colorado, for my Grandma’s 70th birthday party! That was a good trip, and a lot of fun! 😀
On the way we listening to Ranger Bill, Focus on the Family Radio Theatre (This Hiding Place), Lamplighters, and I listened to an audio book. (“The Lamplighter” It was really good!!)
A couple of books I bought at a thrift store. Look how THICK!!! Can’t wait to read them!!

Hey everyone! I’m so sorry this is late… very late… I will try my best to do better next month! 😂
Anyway, May was a great month! *Tries to remember what even happened* At least I’m pretty sure it was. It’s been 12 whole days since May, and you can’t expect my brain to remember that far. 😉 Let me just find some pictures, and maybe that will refresh my memory… 😉
Ok, I’m going to start with the highlight of my month… Earlier in the month, our family met up with some amazing friends of ours, the Petzolds, in El Paso! They drove all the way from Arizona, which was amazing. We had a blast with them!
We went to a park, where we visited, played games, soccer, and sang together. So much fun!!
I laugh whenever I see this picture, because it looks like Annika has a mega long arm 🤣
Mr. Petzold got ice cream for everyone, which was DELICIOUS!! I got cookies ‘n cream…. YUMM!!
Eating breakfast outside the hotel, and saying our sad goodbyes….
And yeah, that was an amazing and SUPER fun time!!
~I cut (and layered) my own hair. I really like how it turned out! (And yeah, it’s slightly curly…!) 🤣
~Video called my friend, Carolina. 😀

~Probably other stuff I can’t remember. I’m not very good at keeping track of the movies I watch… But I will remember every book I read!!!
Philip: I hope this doesn’t break our friendship, but I think I like white chocolate best…
And there you have it!! May was a super fun month! 😄 June’s been good too, but I can’t talk about that yet, since this post is about May. LOL! Again, super sorry I’m so late….!!! And it’s so crazy to think that it’s already almost half way through the year…. WOW!! It’s going by so fast! XD 😀
~Rosy 💖 🌻
How was your month? 😀 What’s your favorite ice cream flavor??
Hey everyone! I’m just popping in to tell you guys all about our trip to our grandparent’s house a couple of weeks ago. 😄 (I mentioned it briefly in THIS POST) 🙂 I showed y’all a few pictures, but I have a bunch more here for you guys!
Warning: This may be a long post, so get ready! XD
My grandparent’s live in the mountains of Coahuila, Mexico, about a days drive from our house. We left early in the morning (around 4:00 am, I think). And somehow I was actually able to doze on and off a bit between 5 and 6, which was nice! At around 7:30, we stopped at a burrito stand for breakfast. (If you know me, you know that’s my favorite part of any trip – getting burritos from one of those burrito stands on the side of the road.) Ok, maybe not my FAVORITE, but I love it. Don’t worry, being with my grandparents was much better.😉😂
Waiting for our burritos in Parral, Chihuahua 😁
After that, we settled down for our long journey, listening to the daring adventures of Ranger Bill along the way. (Ever since our friends, the Cooks, gave the audio drama to us, no trip has been complete without it!)😂
(Oh, and I forgot to mention, Lizzie brought her dog Jock. He actually did really well in the van.) 🙂
And this is how we entertain ourselves in the car… LOL! Poor dog! 🤣
After that, everyone had to try on the sunglasses. 😎
Bekah and I worked in our bullet journals for a while, despite the constant bumping and jostling of the car. (Mexican highways are so much bumpier than in the States) XD We didn’t end up doing for too long though, so we wouldn’t end up ruining our journals forever. 😂 But it was still fun!
Me. Taking a photo. In the gas station bathroom. Brilliant, I know! XD LOL.
After that, we spent the rest of our time reading, being weird and laughing too hard, singing to instrumental bluegrass hymns, being bored, and looking forward to getting there. 😀
I also found some neat photography opportunities at a couple of the gas stations. 😀 I really like how they turned out! 😀
My sister, Grace, tried taking a picture of me… The sun was so bright, it uh, didn’t exactly turn out…! 🤣 🤓 ☀️ So yeah, enjoy this super weird picture of me. 😉
Well, after driving for most of the day, we finally arrived!
The mountains around their house are so pretty!!! ❤️ ⛰
While there, my friend Carolina (Caro) came for a visit. It was so awesome to finally be here after being friends online for quite a while! 😀 We had a lot of fun together!!! 💕
We took LOTS of pictures. I’m only showing you a few of them, haha!
And of course, we had to take at least 1 silly picture. Or 35. But I’ll save your guy’s sanity, and only show you one. 😉
More fun pictures!
And more….!!! 😀 ❤
On Friday, we went to church, and my dad preached and led singing. 😄
After Church, we (SURPRISE) took even more pictures! Haha!
While we were there, my parent’s celebrated their 19th anniversary, and my Grandma, Aunt, Sisters and I set up a date night for them in the bedroom. 😀
I made this cards to put on their table. (And it was my first time using a real calligraphy pen, so that was super fun!) 😀
And yeah, I think that’s about it!
And, I just realized, I have no pictures with my grandpa, or grandpa! (How did that happen?!) 😲 Well, I love you very much Grandpa and Grandma, and I’m sorry I didn’t get pictures with you guys. To make up, I’ll just have to post this pictures from another 2019.
(I love you, Grandpa and Grandma!!) 💖
Hope you guys enjoyed the pictures. It was an awesome, super fun trip! ❤
Hey everybody! I’m finally here with my May Bujo set up. 😀
This time I again tried to cut down on pages, even more than last time, to save pages and make my journal last longer. 😉 I did the whole thing in only a few pages! Thus, the whole set up didn’t take me as long as usual to complete, and I like it that way. (Because I don’t have time to spend 5 years working on spreads for one month. Haha!) 🤣
May’s theme is…..
I’ve been wanted to use this as a theme, well, ever since I bought some really pretty butterfly sticker on amazon. 😂
And yeah, let’s just get into it!! 😀
The May cover page is similar to my April cover page. I just liked it so much, I had to do it again! I really love how it turned out – it looks so cheerful and spring-y!! 💙 🦋
Next up, are my goals for May, my word of the month (Servant), habit tracker, and mood tracker. I told you guys I was using less pages! Normally, each of those would take a whole page, haha!
Now we have maybe my favorite page (it’s tied with all the other pages), my book tracker, and a Line a Day. (Where I simply write a line about my day, each day.) 😀
A few more trackers (Social tracker, Bible Reading, and Goals and Rewards. And yes, I know that I haven’t finished the Goals and Rewards section. Still trying to think of rewards! Any ideas???)
After that, the only spread left to share is my daily spread. Super simple and functional. 😀
And that’s it for my bullet journal this month, folks! I hope you guys enjoyed!
And there’s just one more thing I wanted to add in. This has absolutely nothing to do with the topic of this post, but a few days ago when I posted my April Recap, I missed something very important! Some thing that was a lot of fun, and I don’t know how I ever could have ever missed it! Lol. XD
So I’m just going to call this section, April Recap, Part 2. 😂
Around mid-April, our family went with another family up to the mountains to visit another family. (Ok sorry, that was a slightly confusing sentence! Just read it again, until you get it.) 😉 LOL!
We went with the Garcia family, and we visited a man named Juan and his family, who lives a few hours away, far from civilization. (Well, not really far, but it feels far since it takes so long to get there because of the roads, lol!)
We got there for around lunch time, and we brought hot dogs for lunch. We used our special invention to cook them over the fire. (our special invention being chicken wire, which we lay about 20 hot dogs on top of, over the fire, to cook a bunch of them at once and save time!) XD If that didn’t make sense, see the photo below. I’m sorry, I’m bad at explaining things. LOL! 😂
After lunch, we all decided do go on a hike. We drove a little ways to a good starting place, and then off we went!
The Mountains are so pretty!!
On the way, we came across this wall/cliff made of white sand. Everyone else probably thought, “oh, a wall of White sand! Cool, and bye.” but Lizzie and I thought, “Oh, a wall of white sand! LET’S CLIMB IT!” So we did.
(And I definitely did not rip my skirt twice in the process…. Don’t worry, it’s fixed now) 😉 🤣
We got stuck half way to the top, and couldn’t go any farther because there were no branches to hang on to. So we did the next logical thing, and slid all the way to the bottom (Filling our shoes with dirt) and into the tiny stream below (thereby filling them with water. THEREBY! We were muddy.) LOL! 😂 🤣
After walking 37 miles (or 1 1/2 I guess maybe), we reached our destination – a small (but large for the area) pool of water. 😀
After spending a little while there, talking and wading in the water *trying* to catch the fish, we headed back.
(And I most certainly was not so thirsty on the way back that I drank some of the stream water.) Hey, it was (mostly) clear!!! LOL! 🤣🤣🤣
When we got back to Juan’s house, we had a little bit of Bible reading and singing time which was great. 😀
And there y’all have it, folks! 😀 It was a great time, and believe me, we got home tired, lol! XD I hope you guys enjoyed the photos, and I’ll see you in my next post! I hope everyone is having a great day. 💕
