May, 2022 Review

Hey friends! ❀️

I realize that, yet again, I have skipped a reviewing a month… I didn’t post a recap of April, because I had very few photos, and wasn’t really feeling motivated to do it. So yeah. Sorry about that. XD

Whatever the case, I’m back with a recap of the month of May! πŸ˜€

Near the beginning of this month, the Oduber family, who was moving across Mexico to a town a few hours from us, stayed at our house for a few days. It was really fun to get to know their family!

A couple of weeks later, one of the churches my dad frequently preaches at held a conference. The Oduber family was able to come again, and stayed at our house during the duration of the conference. It was fun, and the conference was really good! Quite a few people came. πŸ˜€

The men visiting

Lizzie and I went on a short walk/hike with some of the women. We climbed to the top of a hill, and the view from up there was amazing!!! Sadly, I didn’t have a camera, so I don’t have pictures of the view. But it was really fun!

The kids doing a science experiment with their friend, one of our neighbors.

My sister Lizzie, turned 15 near the end of May. πŸ˜€ The first two pictures of of her birthday, and the last one is from a photoshoot I did of her bit later.

Memes I saved in May

I’m thinking about making this a regular section in these recap posts because who doesn’t love good memes? πŸ˜‚ Here are a few of my favorites that I saved last month. πŸ™‚

Books I read in May

  1. Having a Mary Spirit by Joanna Weaver (5 stars)
  2. Kilmeny of the Orchard by L.M. Montgomery (5 stars)

  8. The Last Gasp by Chautona Havig (4.5 stars)

February and March Review

Hello everyone! πŸ’• 🌷

How are you all? I’m so sorry I haven’t posted in quite a long time! 23 days to be exact… Yikes!! Things have been pretty busy here, and I’ve just been lacking the necessary motivation for blogging. I’m here now, but I can promise how consistent I’ll be, hehe! I will try though. πŸ˜€ I really want to get back into it.

Anyway, about half way though March, I realized something terrible… I forgot to do a February review!!!! That’s the first time I’ve downright forgotten in… probably the history of me doing these. I’ve skipped some I think, but never forgotten. So I’m just going to do both of the last two months in this post. February was waaay too long ago to remember almost anything… But I’ll do my best! πŸ˜‚

February

*Long, awkward silence*

Yep, I told you I wouldn’t be able to remember much… LOL. XD

Our friends Pablo and Anna, and their kids visited us one Sunday for, and after church. We had a fun time with them!

Books

Click the links to see my reviews. πŸ™‚

  1. Fair in War by Perry Elisabeth Kirkpatrick (5 Stars)
  2. Manuscript for Murder by Chautonna Havig (5 stars!)
  3. Enjoy the Poodle Skirt by Kate (Willis) Hopman (5 stars)
  4. Through the Fire by Dianne Nobler (4 stars)

  8. Penelope’s Pursuit by Chautonna Havig (5 stars!)
  9. Eat that Frog by Brian Tracy (3.4 stars)
  10. A Midsummer Night’s Dream by William Shakespeare (4 stars) (Not pictured)

My favorites were probably A Soldier finds Grace, Little Women and Penelope’s Pursuit.

March

I spent the month of March doing TONS of math, so that I could start 12th grade. I finished most of 11th awhile ago, but was behind in math, so…. not fun….!! Eventually I got caught up enough to start 12th grade, which was really exciting!! Hopefully I will do a post on what I’m doing for 12th grade for you all. πŸ˜€

I also appear to have taken little to no photos in March. Ugh, I’ll have to work on that in April. Meanwhile, let me go scrounge up what I can from March. πŸ™‚

Selfies with siblings πŸ˜‚. ❀️

My grandparents visited us fora few days! We had a lot of fun with them. πŸ˜€

My grandpa, and sister Susy

A few of our goats have kidded! I don’t have a particular liking for goats (at all), but the little kids are adorable!!! 😍 Unfortunately, the mother was not accepting them for a while, and we had to hold her down to help them nurse. XD I helped with that for a bit, and did not enjoy it one little bit, LOL! I survived though. πŸ˜€ By now, the mother is letting them nurse, a lot more at least. πŸ™‚

My entire family signed up for the Spring100, a challenge where you try to walk 100 miles in Spring. A few of us have done it in past years, but this year we’re all doing it. πŸ˜€ It’s been a lot of fun, taking walks together!! I think I’ve done around 12 or 13 miles so far. πŸ™‚

I spent the last bit of March feeling pretty sick with a cold… I’m still bit sick, but getting a lot better, thankfully!

Books

  1. Stressed Out: A Practical, Biblical Approach to Anxiety by Todd Friel (4 stars)
  2. The Minstrel by Malachi Cyr (5 stars!)
  3. Emma by Jane Austen (5 stars)
  4. Crossroads by Paul Willis (5 stars!)
  5. Treasures of the Snow by Patricia St John (5 stars)
  6. Joni by Joni Eareckson Tada (5 stars)
  7. Crime of Fashion by Chautona Havig (5 stars)
  8. A Gown of Spanish Lace by Jannette Oke (5 Stars!)
  9. Haunted Waters by Jerry Jenkins (4 stars) (Not pictured)
  10. Two O’Clock Slump by Chautona Havig (5 Stars)

My favorites were… Never mind, there were too many good books here, that I would end up picking half of them. XD

Hopefully I will have a more detailed review for April, but this will have to do for now. πŸ™‚

Speaking of April…. Happy April!

πŸ˜‚ πŸ˜‚ πŸ˜‚

I’m so excited for this month, and for the weather to begin warming up, and outside to start getting greener. I love Spring! 🌸 🌳 🌷

I hope you all are doing great!! How did your last few months go?

December 2021, Recap

Hey everyone!

Between Christmas, and seeing some of our family and friend, December was a great month!! For once, I don’t think that I will have any trouble finding good photos for you guys. I have lots to go through, so let’s just get into it!

In early December, we got together with some friends of ours to celebrate Thanksgiving. Late I know, but that was the time that worked for everyone. πŸ˜‰ We had a really good time!

All of the kids together!

My brother, Andy, broke his arm while we were there, playing Capture the Flag. Everyone signed his cast.

One of our December traditions is to have a paper snowflake party, complete with Christmas music. It’s always a lot of fun!

We celebrated Christmas as a family on December 17th, since we were going to be on a trip for Christmas day. We had cinnamon rolls, bacon and eggs for breakfast, which was really good!!

We played the Christmas Ball together, which is another family tradition. You can see how it works HERE. It’s a lot of fun!! I didn’t get any pictures of it, but you can watch us doing it in this vlog. πŸ˜€ It was an awesome day, celebrating the birth of Jesus. πŸ˜„

I did lot of baking in December. I made cookies, marshmallows (twice), enchiladas, cinnamon rolls, and more!

I did a mini photoshoot of my brother James (5). He’s adorable!! I love this pictures. πŸ’•

On December 21st, we left on our trip to my grandparent’s house. We visited some friends on the way. πŸ˜€

Over the next few days, we had a great time visiting with my grandparents, uncles and aunts!

My Aunts, Anna and Abigail, and my cousin Mikayla.
My grandpa and Me!

My uncle Joshua and Me
I love this picture!!
Abigail and Me!

While there, I straightened my hair for the first time in quite a few years! It was a lot of fun, and I really like how it turned out. It’s so different though!!

It was a great, and memorable time! πŸ˜€

We drove home on the 25th, and the rest of December was just recovering from the trip, and getting school and chores going again. πŸ™‚

In December, I…

October 2021, Recap

Hey everyone! πŸ˜ƒ

How was everyone’s month? October went by so fast for me! That may be because I spent more than half of it pretty sick with Covid. More on that later. Thankfully, I’m getting really close to being being better!

October started with us still in Arizona, visiting our friends there. It was a really good time!! October 2nd was my good friends, Maggie and Jon’s wedding. ❀️

It was a really beautiful wedding!! ❀️

Love these people!!
Me with my amazing friends, Gabby and Kyra

It was a great trip!! It was amazing too see our friends there after quite a while.

We drove home soon after, and everyone was super tired from the trip. We all got sick almost as soon as we arrived. πŸ˜‚ I didn’t do a whole lot during that time except sleep, read and do a bit of school when I could. That sickness lasted for about a week I think, and we were all glad when it was over. πŸ™‚

I decorated my bulletin board and dresser for fall. I pressed some leaves, printed some pictures, and my friend Kyra made the “thankful” sign. I love how everything ended up looking!! 🍁

Mmm, pumpkin pie!! πŸ₯§

Playing Catan with some of my siblings. πŸ˜€

Some friends of ours that we don’t get to see very often visited us for Church. It was a really good time!!

Vannesa, me, Yeseña and Grace. ❀️ It was really good to visit with them!!

Soon after that, we got sick… again. This time even worse – we’re pretty sure it was Covid. Almost all of us lost our taste and smell, which was not fun! It lasted a couple of weeks, but thankfully, we’re all mostly better now.

Since we were sick for so much of October, I don’t really have many more pictures or interesting things that happened. It was sad to be sick so much then, because I love October – but hopefully November will be better!!

In October, I

Despite being sick a lot of the time, October was still a great month. πŸ˜€ As Anne of Green Gables once said… “I’m so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers.” πŸ˜‰ I’m glad we have Novembers too, and I’m really excited for this month!

Hello people! Can you believe it’s already (practically!) July?! So crazy! But, I’m going to hold off rambling about it too much, because I have enough of that in the next post. (Stay tuned!) Lol!! πŸ˜‚ 😁 But yay for summer!!

My theme for this month, is…

πŸ‰ Watermelon!! πŸ‰

This was super fun to do, and I was even eating watermelon while I was making it! πŸ˜€ πŸ‰ Fun times!

First, we have the cover page, calendar, goals (which I haven’t written yet… XD) and my word of the month, which is diligence. πŸ˜€ 😁

Love how the cover page turned out!

For my mood tracker, I did a bunch of little watermelons, and for the habit tracker I just did a SUPER simple one. I’ll probably go over it, and spice it up later… It’s kind of boring right now! XD

A Line a Day (where I write a bit about my day, each day) and a sleep tracker. This is my first time doing a sleep tracker, so we’ll see how that goes!! And again, these pages are slightly boring, but oh well… At least it’s functional! Lol. πŸ˜„

And as always, my absolute favorite spread…..!!!! The books I’m reading, my blog and youtube post tracker, and my Bible reading tracker!! Love it. Lol! πŸ˜‚ 😁

And lastly, my weekly spreads. It’s super pretty, but it doesn’t need to be, so. Haha! 😁

Please ignore that weird little watermelon thing in the corner. Ahhh, that did not work!! 🀣

And that’s that! Thank you all so much for reading this post. ❀ I enjoyed doing this set up, and I’m super excited to use it. I love new months!!! πŸ˜€

Love,

Rosy 🌻 πŸ‰ ❀️

How was your month? Do you have any plans for July? What’s your favorite part of summer?

P.S. Here’s a fun little thing for you guys! How many points did you get?!! I think I have 12. πŸ˜„ 😁

Hey everyone!!

IT’S ALREADY ALMOST THE THIRD MONTH OF 2021!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wooow!!!!!!! I find that hard to believe… February just flew right by. It was a great month though! At least I think it was. I forget what even happened. Consequently, I’m just as excited as you to find out, LOL!

~Sometimes near the beginning of February, our family, plus our friend Susanna who was visiting us, had a hotdog and s’mores roast. T’was a lot of fun! We used healthy homemade marshmallows for the s’mores. πŸ˜„ πŸ˜‹

~Sometime around the same time, mom, Grace, Lizzie, Susanna and I went on a girl’s date kinda thing. We went out to eat, and to a thrift store! (you can see what I got at the thrift store HERE!) It was a BLAST!

~We went out to eat (AGAIN?!) with Susanna. It’s kinda a tradition to take our American friends to this restaurant when they visit, so we had no choice. We don’t usually go out to eat this much, lol!

Shortly aftwerwards, Susanna left, and we all missed her lots. ❀

My 17th Birthday!

Standard

Hey everyone!

Today we celebrated my 17th birthday!!! Technically my birthday isn’t until tomorrow, but since tomorrow is Sunday and were busy all day, we decided to celebrate the day before. (You won’t catch me complaining!) πŸ˜‚ 😜

For my birthday meal, I had chicken nuggets, fried potatoes, salad and garlic bread.

Yum!

And for dessert….. We had homemade ice cream (which I made, by the way 😁) And guys. It tasted better than store bought ice cream! Like, seriously. Not to toot my own horn or anything, but it was amazing! πŸ˜‹ πŸ˜‚

We had a bunch of toppings on top, such as chocolate sauce, strawberry sauce and caramel sauce (which I also made), blueberries, pecans and sprinkles. AND. The only thing that had any sugar was the sprinkles. πŸ˜€

It was all really good. It’s been 4 and a half hours, and I’m still full…! πŸ˜‚

The whole family (except for me) at the table. πŸ˜€
This picture was taken at the same time as the picture above it, just from a different angle! πŸ˜‚
All of my siblings and I! ❀
Several of my siblings and I πŸ˜€

Thanks to my family for an awesome birthday!!!!! It was a blast!

And um… It’s kind, really hard to believe I’m 17….! πŸ˜‚ (Well, as of tomorrow) πŸ˜‰ Like how am I thought old?! πŸ‘΅πŸ» I don’t feel that old… Maybe that’s because I haven’t had my actual birthday yet! 🀣 Maybe I’ll wake up tomorrow feeling different. XD Lol!!

Well, I’m signing off for now! Hope y’all are having a great day, aaaaand… happy birthday to me. 😜 πŸ˜‚ 😁 πŸ‘‹

Hey everyone! πŸ˜€

Yesterday we went to visit some friends we haven’t seen since earlier this year. πŸ™‚ In fact, here’s a blog post I wrote about last time we visited them! We had a very good time with them. πŸ™‚

We brought and roasted hot dogs for lunch, which was fun!

A few of the little kids πŸ˜€

We got to ride horses! It was my first time really riding a horse. It was a blast!! (Yes, I woke up in the morning extremely sore, but… WORTH IT!) 😁 πŸ˜‚

We all enjoyed our time very much! πŸ˜€ And we got very sunburned! 😜 πŸ˜‚ (Again, worth it!) I’m very glad that we were able to go. πŸ™‚
