Help us Solve the Mystery!!!

Help us Solve the Mystery!!!

Sorry I couldn’t think of a better title… That was cheesy… :/ But hey, speaking of cheese, this post is actually about grilled cheese sandwiches! Well, kinda. Ok, you’re probably confused by now, so let me explain. 🙂

So, our family has this thing about how a grilled cheese sandwich should be cut. And whether or not eggs should be eaten with honey. (Totally gross in my opinion!!!) 😛 And we love arguing our opinions. In fun of course!

And now, we what to see what you think about these debatable topics in our family!

(Note: If you’re reading this in your WR, you’ll have to go to my actual site to see the polls. And please do!!!!!)

The Butter/Table Knife Mystery

All of us kids have grown up calling this a butter knife. So did my Mom. But certainly not my Dad! XD

Although, technically, this is called a table knife, we want to know what your family calls it.

The Honey on Eggs Mystery

Who eats honey on their scrambled eggs?!?!?! My Dad.

He literally likes to put scrambled eggs on his waffle or pancakes, and drizzle it with honey.

WHAT. 😮

Kind of gross.

But what do you think? Obviously, the answers is… “Please noooo…”. But I promise to still be your friend if you say yes. 😉

And last, but not least…

The Grilled Cheese Mystery

There are many different ways you can cut a grilled cheese sandwiches. Diagonally, in quarters, in half… Or in the shape of a shoe. 🤨 But which way is the right way?

Diagonally duh.

And that’s it! Be sure to tell me in the comments what you voted for!!! (Since Crowd-signal won’t let me see who voted unless I pay them money… :/ )

Recent and Not-So-Recent Art

A friend requested that I do a post about my drawings, and I was kind of inspired to actually do it when I saw Amie’s post, here. So, consequently, you are going to be forced  to get to see some of my recent, and not-so-recent drawings! 😀

We’ll start with my not-so-recent drawings. These were done several years ago, back when we lived in Arizona.

p1030892

The pilgrims. I think… 😉

p1030894

A dolphin!

p1030899.jpg

This boy is either praying… or he really does not like whatever is in his bowl.

And then I improved a bit… (These are mostly after we moved to Mexico three years ago.)

p1030896.jpg

This one was supposed to be my dad preaching. It doesn’t really look much like him, lol…

p1030895

And it was only recently that I got serious about drawing… Here is some of my most recent art. 🙂

p1030886

An interesting looking chipmunk

p1030884

A praying mantis

p1030887

Some random hand lettering I did. I really want to practice and get better at this!

p1030888

This was going to be a bald eagle… But it turned out to be a seagull instead, lol!

These last three are all my favorites!!! 😀

p1030885

A ship. (Since you probably couldn’t tell… 😛 )

p1030890

I love this one! 😀 ❤

Last, but not least, is my so-far, absolute favorite! It’s still a WIP though. 🙂 I’m really loving how this is turning out! Besides, it’s horses!!! 😀

p1030900

p1030901

Aaaaand, there you have it!

Have a great rest of the day! (Or if you live in Australia, night!) 😀

Which picture was your favorite? Do you like to draw? Does anyone else dislike the new WordPress editor? I just can’t figure out these block things! 😛

Goat Rides and… A Water Bottle Hairstyle?

Standard
Goat Rides and… A Water Bottle Hairstyle?

Despite having such a strange title (Especially that last part…), this post isn’t as weird as it may seem. In fact, there really is a such thing as a water bottle hairstyle, although I’m not sure that that’s the official name for it…. Anyway lets get started, with the goat rides. Yesterday evening some friends came over to…

Um, wait, a minute, I think I hear Mom calling me. Wait right there! Don’t move a muscle, I’ll be back in a jiffy… or two… Don’t go away… *Voice fades away*

*5 minutes pass*

Ahem. Excuse me, but I don’t think that Rosy will be back any time soon, so I have decided to take over finish this blog post for her. In case you don’t know who I am, let me introduce myself. I am… well, I don’t really have a name right now. But anyways, I am Rosy’s trusty camera! Rosy has thought about naming me, but so far hasn’t found a name that hasn’t sounded totally cheesy or plain weird. I have a few ideas, but am unable to tell her, since I don’t speak English. I can type it, but not speak it. Yet.

Anyway, let’s get on to the real reason why I’m here. Goat rides. I should know about this, since Rosy used me to photograph the whole, crazy event. I honestly cannot understand why anyone in their right mind would want to ride a goat. Humans. I’ll never understand them.

It started when some friends of the Marr family who were traveling through, came over to visit, and spend to the night in their guest house. After visiting (In Spanish, a language which I can’t understand!) in the living room for an hour, all the children 11 and under went outside to play. This happened to include the riding of a goat. Ugh… Rosy apparently thought they were cute, because she grabbed me, and ran outside to take picture of them. That’s what she always does whenever she sees something cute. Believe me, I know.

p1030705

Guys, she took waaaaaaay more pictures of that than what I just showed you! I’m only allowing you to see the very best ones, since most of them are embarrassing – they’re so blurry with such bad lighting, Ugh. She always does that to me…. :/

After she had finished with that, she was randomly inspired by the sunset, and ordered all of her siblings and their little Mexican friend to stand on the wall in front of it, to which they willingly and happily complied. (Wow, that was a long sentence! Especially for me!!!)

pizap.com15467446223861pizap.com15467449401591pizap.com15467448132251

I personally think these are the best picture that she took all day!

After the company went to the guest house to get ready for bed, Rosy got inspired again  only this time it was for a hair style. She grabbed her sister, Bekah, and ran to another room with a brush, comb and strangely enough… And empty water bottle… Unfortunately  I can’t tell you what went on in there, since she left me in the living room alone. :/

However, when she came back, I was horrified and utterly shocked at what I saw. Behold:

p1030763

Crazy? Yup. My thoughts exactly. She really liked it, her sister tolerated it, and everyone else thought it was hilarious. But she didn’t ask my opinion! 😦

After all that happened, the day was over, and they all got ready for bed.

Uh oh. I think I hear Rosy coming back. Please, PLEASE do not tell her I was here!!! She might never forgive me for ruining her blog. (At least, that’s what she would think about it… I personally believe the world would be better if it were run by cameras.) But she’s coming, so I really need to go. YOU NEVER SAW ME!!!!!

Okay, guys, I’m finally back. I’m really, really sorry, but I don’t think that I’m going to have time to tell you what I was going to tell you about the goats and hairstyles and stuff… I’m so sorry! Maybe another day, okay?

Oh look! I just saw one my siblings run past wearing a towel on her head for a hat! She was so cute! I’ve got to get a picture of this! 😀

TTFN!

Rosy

*Grabs camera and runs off*

Happy National Oatmeal Muffin Day, everyone. (So, how many of you ate oatmeal muffins today?) 😛

So, I realized I should probably write up an update on my life for Ya’ll. So, welcome to Post #106 – In Which I Tell You What’s Been Going on at the Marr House. Because you probably couldn’t guess after reading that title… 😛

Anyways, so as you may remember, if you have been keeping up with my blog, I had a birthday, and so did my sister and brother. What you probably don’t remember (At least, it would be pretty creepy if you did, since it never happened…), are the pictures that I didn’t post. :/

My now 5 year old brother, Philip, and now 14 year old sis, Gracie. 😀

My now 15 year old self… 😉 Isn’t the cake one of my friends made amazing??? She also made the one in the above pic.

The weather has been super cool… like, in the teen digits a few weeks ago… Brrr! We’ve had a good frost almost every morning. It really almost looks like snow!

P1030380

Doesn’t it look kind of like snow?

P1030382

A frozen leaf. And a freezing hand… 😛

It sadly has not yet snowed. I mean, if it’s going to have to be this cold, at least we can have a little bit of snow, right? Of course! But no… 😦 So yeah. Maybe, MAYBE, we will get to have a white Christmas this year!

Speaking of… IT’S 5 DAYS ‘TILL CHRISTMAS, GUYS!!!!!!! Can you believe it??? And it’s also almost 2019… Wow. 😮

A few week ago, my brother and I realized we were matching in clothes. (It took us about half way through the day to figure it out! 😛 ) Then, of course, I had to take pictures… Which was actually a challenge, since Andy (My Bro), didn’t want to… (Well, he pretended not to want to…) xD

Book Tag and Book Memes +Calculator Trick

Standard
Book Tag and Book Memes +Calculator Trick

So, my friend Amie kind of unofficially tagged for this tag. Because… I really wanted to do it!!! 😛

1. how many books are too many books in a book series?

Hmm.. Well, 300 books in a series is too many. But I have yet to find a book series with that many books, so… Yeah. I’m actually not sure about this one… But more is usually better, unless you have the first book, and don’t have enough money to buy the rest… That’s just plain sad. 😦

b734696bff3e75f51424449bf74b20ac

2. how do you feel about cliffhangers?

I love them. Except for when they are at the end of a book, and you don’t have the next one. *Cries just thinking about it*

3. hardback or paperback?

Paperback for sure. Hardback is supposed to mean better quality or something,. but paperback is just easier… To hold the book open. 😛

57ef9a71eeee0e46f0f625a6f27e6548

4. favorite book?

Wow. Ouch. No. Too hard. Ok, but two amazing books are The Star Under the City, and The Bronze Bow. Among other, lol. xD

5. least favorite book?

Do I have to have one? Cuz I can’t think of anything at the moment…

6. love triangles, yes or no?

Ummmm……. Huh?

tenor (2)

7. the most recent book you just couldn’t finish?

I finish most all the books that I start. 😛 😀

8. a book you’re currently reading?

Currently I’m reading 24 Days Before Christmas out loud to my sisters. 🙂 nothing other that actually. Surprisingly…

35930e9c72cb26b2365ab07dba42218e

9. last book you recommended to someone?

Probably The Star Under the City, or The Bronze Bow, lol!!! xD

10. oldest book you’ve read? (publication date)

I actually do not know about this one… Sorry! I’d like to know myself!

11. newest book you’ve read? (publication date)

The Star Under the City. (Love this book, guys!!!)

6c357e7afff8e58d0438217dbbcaa9c3

12. favorite author?

Maggie Joy, Rebekah Jones, Christmas Carol Kaufman (Don’t ask me why she’s named that!), and Elizabeth George Speare… To name a few… Don’t make me pick just one of them!!!

13. buying books or borrowing books?

I guess borrowing books, since I don’t really have enough money to buy them… But I really haven’t done much of either… :O

14. a book you dislike that everyone else seems to love?

I don’t have a ton of books, and most of what I have, I like. Soooooo…..

c5c6693d9f6348345e18a5ec57234548

15. bookmarks or dog-ears?

Both!!!!! If there’s a a piece of paper nearby, I’ll use it as a bookmark. If not. “Sorry book!!!”

I reread EVERYTHING!!!!! xD But speaking of, I just have to say that I have read The Star Under the City 5 times. Since it was published early this year. IT’S SO GOOD!!!!!

17. can you read while hearing music?

Of course! I can read through a lot of things… 😛

a954e1943293e20a74041f64708cefe6

18. one POV or multiple POVs?

I like multiple POVs. Too many can get confusing, but the story is often more comprehendible with more than one.

19. do you read a book in one sitting or over multiple days?

Depends on the book. I am definitely able to read a book in one sitting, but I don’t generally have that much time anymore, so… :/

20. who do you tag?

Hmmm…. YOU!!! Just ask in the comments of you can be tagged, and VOILA! Your’e it!!! Or you can simply answer the questions in the comments, which I would love. 🙂 ❤

Welp, that’s the end! That was a LOT of questions to answer! 😛

And now, on to that cool little trick I promised…

Step 1. Take a calculator. Don’t use the calculator on your mac computer, because you’re going to need to turn it upside down. (I’ll explain later!) 😛

Step 2. Punch in the number 0.1134. (That decimal is important, or else the 0 won’t show up.)

Screen Shot 2018-12-14 at 4.31.45 PM

Step 3. Turn calculator upside down… And behold! Yes, it really hello on it! Cool?

Screen Shot 2018-12-14 at 4.31.53 PM

Welp, I’d better go now!!! If you read this whole post… Then great job, you’re awesome!!!!! *High five!* 😀

The End,

Rosy 😉

Let’s Talk!

Can you relate to any of the memes in this post?

Will you try the calculator trick?

And please… Somebody tell me what a triangle is, as stated in question #6!!!

Liebster Award… Again!!!

Standard

I don’t know about you, but I like doing tags enough to love doing this one twice! Besides,  it’s new questions to answer! 🙂 So, thanks Amie, for tagging me!

Here are the rules

1. Thank the blog that nominated you for the award
2. Answer the questions they gave you
3. Give 11 fun facts about yourself
4. Nominate 11 other bloggers for the award, and give them 11 questions to answer

So, here are Amie’s questions, and my answers. 😀

History book or Science book?  Why?

I’d say history book. It’s just really fun learning about… Um, history. But science is cool too…

What is better, having to color all day, or having to wash dishes all day?

Ooh. Ow. Hm. That’s hard. I suppose color all day. ONLY IF IT’S AN ADULT COLORING BOOK! If it’s not, then I’d say wash dishes. :O

Do you use caps lock often?

NO, NOT PARTICULARLY. THOUGH I DO SOMETIMES. I’M DOING IT RIGHT NOW. (IF YOU HADN’T NOTICED…)

Lace, ruffles, or camouflage?

Definitely camouflage. 😀 I like wearing it. 😉

What is you opinion on the all time classic, Pride and Prejudice? 36677620

Do I have to have an opinion??? Especially cuz I haven’t actually read it. But I have read Presumption and Partiality by my friend Rebekah Jones.

Botany or astronomy?

Astronomy, for sure!!!

If you had to choose a broken finger, or a broken toe, which would you chose?

Yikes. Um, neither…. But since I have to choose… Probably a broken toe.

What is your favorite hair color?

My hair color- RED! Red hair is the best! 😀

Do you enjoy crafting or destroying better?

Crafting!!!

What is your favorite kind of tape?

Scotch tape has always been a life saver for me, and washi tape is super fun to use. I’d say those two are my favorites.

Lastly, if you knew some horrid event was about to happen in the near future, how would you go about warning people?

Hm… I’d probably post it on my blog, email all my contacts, and ask my mom and dad to post about it on Facebook… Actually I’d probably just tell my parents and let them deal with it… ;P

And now for some 11 random fun facts about me. I’ll try not to overlap on the facts I wrote last time

  1. Right now, I am listening to He’s a Pirate from Pirates of the Caribbean. (If you haven’t ever heard of that, go look it up. It’s SOOO good!!! I am only recommending the song, not the movie!)
  2. I am 5′ 7” 3/4 tall.
  3. Right now I am wearing a blue and white floral dress that my friend made. 😀 ❤
  4. I slept outside in a hammock for the first time last month with a friend. (The same friend in #3!)
  5. I love doing my sister’s hair.
  6. I am always listening to music… (Well, almost… ;))
  7. I have lived in 9 different houses in my life.
  8. My birthday is on Thanksgiving this year, and I’m turning 15! 😀
  9. I am having a hard time thinking of more facts…
  10. I always put a LOT of salt in my food. (Hey, salt goes in EVERYTHING, right?)
  11. I enjoy journaling. But not just plain old, write everything down journaling… More like scrapbook, or smashbook journaling!

And now… Time to brainstorm about who to nominate. (All of which, have probably already been nominated at one point or another…) Don’t feel pressured to do this, just cuz I nominated you!!! 🙂

  1. Gaby H.

2. Elijah H.

3. Amie (Right back at you, girl! ;P)

4. Laura (From Flowers in my Basket)

5. Laura again (From Beautiful Things)

6. Hannah

7. Maddy

8. And I

9. Can’t think

10. of

11. Anyone else to tag right now. Of course, though, you’re always tagged! Answer the questions in the comments! I’d love to see what you say!

My questions for you…

  1. How did you pick your blog’s name? (If you have a blog.)
  2. Describe yourself in three words
  3. Now, ask a family member to describe you in three words and see what the difference is!
  4. What your favorite blog post you’ve written?
  5. Is the glass half full or half empty?
  6. Favorite holiday?
  7. Top three favorite books?
  8. How many of the U.S. states have you been to?
  9. Have you ever been to another country?
  10. Describe your surroundings.
  11. Do you like answering tags?

Well, that’s about it for now! 😀

I hope you all are having a wonderful day today. 🙂

Fair thee well,

Rosy =D

P.S. And guys, spell check is still trying to change Liebster Award to Lobster award… (Who want a lobster award??? Well, maybe if you’re a fisherman or something…) 😉

But, we’re definitely very happy to be home again. 🙂 All in all, we drove over 3,500 miles!!! :O It was a looooooooong drive, but worth it! 😀 To help pass the time we listened to Lamplighter Theater and Jonathan Park.

A Condensed Version of the Month of June and July

Hello everyone! I’m sorry I missed last months update. So, I will make it up, and do the last two months in this post. 🙂

June

Lately I have been enjoying “trick photography”.

More photoshoots of my sibling. 🙂

As you may know, if you’ve been keeping up with my blog, we have sold our van, and bought a new one! You can read about that here.

The kids were playing house, and then asked me to take their family picture for them… Susy (3) is the mom, James (2) is the dad, and Bekah (8) is the child, along with a few other dolls. As you can see, the family kind of collapsed in the second picture. And I’m not entirely sure why the mom is sticking her tongue out…

July

Colorado

We went to Colorado around the end of June and beginning of July. We were helping our grandparents with the wheat harvest. I will post more pictures later, but here are a few of them. 🙂

The rest of the month, went on mostly as normal. Then on the 26th of July, we had the Franklins and the Pereanus here from AZ!!! We had an awesome time of fellowship with them!!!! Again, I’m planning on posting lots of pics later, but for now, here are some of my favorites! 🙂

Here is a video of Gracie, Jeri F., and I singing Amazing Grace to the tune of When I Survey the Wondrous Cross. We had a lot of fun with this arrangement!!! 🙂

Well, that’s about it for now! The Franklins and Pereanus left here yesterday morning. The house seems so empty and quiet without them!!! 😦

And here is a fun random question for you… So I was cleaning up some pin needles, and suddenly got inspired for this picture… What is it of/from? Sorry, it’s not a great picture, but… 😉
