September 2021 Recap

September 2021 Recap

Hey everyone! I’M BACK!! After a trip, and getting sick for a few days, I’m finally here and ready to blog again. I’ll have more details about that later! 😁

Oh and yeah, so sorry this post is so late. Again, I was sick. XD Let’s see how much of September I can even remember – at least from the beginning!

*ALERT: Lots and lots of pictures ahead…. Enter at your own risk* ;P

~Well, you already know about our Apple Harvest. That was a good productive time!

~Right after that, my Grandma and (13 year old) Aunt Abigail came to stay with us while my parents went on a trip together. It was so much fun to get to spend some time with them!

Giant selfie! (Or Us-ie…?) XD

Lizzie and I with Abigail

I love all these pictures of Grandma and each of us kids! ❤️

Mom and Dad went to the Copper canyon together, which is a few hours away from here. They rode the world’s longest zip-line, hiked, went boating and did other fun stuff together!

When they got back, we had a hotdog roast for my brother Andy’s 13th birthday

We planted pumpkins for the first time ever, and I love them! I definitely want to start planting them every year. They’re so pretty! Can’t wait to make some pies and other pumpkin-y treats with them. 😀

After that, I think we just did normal stuff, got sick, and got ready for our trip. So skip all that, and now you’re caught up to the fun part! You’re welcome. 😉 😂 😀

~FAMILY CAMP! This was probably my highlight of the entire year… It was amazing to spend a couple of days with our great friends at Heritage Baptist Church. I don’t have a whole ton of pictures – instead I’m making a video. But it’s not done yet, so. 😅 I do have some though!

We sang a LOT during camp. Friday night, we played guitar and sang until around 11:30 I think, and I pretty much lost my voice the rest of the night.😅 Totally worth it though, because I enjoyed that time so much. 😀

My fellow redhead, Gabby, and I braided our hair together, which was really fun/funny! 😅

Congregational singing

Camp was amazing – way better than I’m making it sound at the moment. 😂 Hopefully I’ll be able to share the video I’m making about it later. For now, gotta keep working on it! 😉

~While there, we also visited another church and had some good fellowship with friends we hadn’t seen in awhile, as well as some new friends. 😀

~After Family Camp, we stayed in AZ for another week or so to visit with friends, and also for a wedding! (Pictures of that will have to be in a future post, since that happened in October, not September… lol.)

Anyway, we had a great visiting our friends, the Hublers. We got to spend a good bit of the day with them. We took a spur of the moment trip to the store for ice cream, which we brought home and ate with homemade cookies. So fun!!!!

Playing Chess with Gabby. She creamed me big time, but it was still lots of fun!!!

A few days later we went to the Petzold’s house, which was awesome, and a whole new fun adventure in itself!

I did some recording with Kyra, which was a lot of fun!!

Last time we were together, we accidentally took a picture where it looked like Annika’s arm was really long. We decided to try and redo that picture, and here are our results. I think it turned out pretty good, haha!! 😂

They made some amazing, delicious pies!!

Well, I’d probably better start to bring this post to an end now, so let’s get on with this month’s stats. 🙂

June 2021, Recap!

Hello my dear blog readers! I hope this post finds you well, and in good spirits. And if not, it is my great hope that this post will bestow unto you joy and pleasure, and that you may leave happy and contented.

Ok, that was slightly weird, but hey, it’s true. (Even if it is worded in a slightly unique manner.) Lol!!😂

Anyway!! Am I the only one who is sitting here in shocked silence, because JUNE IS OVER?! I am currently speechless, but at least I can still type. We’re half way done with 2021! Crazy!! BUT EXCITING!!!

The month of June went very well (for the most part) for us. Save one aspect, which I will discuss at a later juncture. (I don’t know why I keep talking like this, LOL! Maybe it’s because I’ve been reading old books…? Ok, yeah probably. Deal with it.) 🤣

So here I am, at 5:25 in the afternoon, drinking ice tea and writing this blog post. 😀

~ Early in the month, we had some friends over for the day, which was fun! We played Apples to Apples, and… I won. XD (Not bragging, just stating the facts! LOL!!) We like to play that the cards you win are supposed to describe you… That can get pretty crazy, haha!!

What do y’all think? Do these words describe me??? 🤣

~I’ve been walking a lot lately. I try to get it 2 miles a day. (well sometimes…!) Listening to podcasts motivates me to actually do it. My favorite podcast to listen to is Revive our Hearts with Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth. 😀

~We went to Colorado, for my Grandma’s 70th birthday party! That was a good trip, and a lot of fun! 😀

On the way we listening to Ranger Bill, Focus on the Family Radio Theatre (This Hiding Place), Lamplighters, and I listened to an audio book. (“The Lamplighter” It was really good!!)

Goat Rides and… A Water Bottle Hairstyle?

Goat Rides and… A Water Bottle Hairstyle?

Despite having such a strange title (Especially that last part…), this post isn’t as weird as it may seem. In fact, there really is a such thing as a water bottle hairstyle, although I’m not sure that that’s the official name for it…. Anyway lets get started, with the goat rides. Yesterday evening some friends came over to…

Um, wait, a minute, I think I hear Mom calling me. Wait right there! Don’t move a muscle, I’ll be back in a jiffy… or two… Don’t go away… *Voice fades away*

*5 minutes pass*

Ahem. Excuse me, but I don’t think that Rosy will be back any time soon, so I have decided to take over finish this blog post for her. In case you don’t know who I am, let me introduce myself. I am… well, I don’t really have a name right now. But anyways, I am Rosy’s trusty camera! Rosy has thought about naming me, but so far hasn’t found a name that hasn’t sounded totally cheesy or plain weird. I have a few ideas, but am unable to tell her, since I don’t speak English. I can type it, but not speak it. Yet.

Anyway, let’s get on to the real reason why I’m here. Goat rides. I should know about this, since Rosy used me to photograph the whole, crazy event. I honestly cannot understand why anyone in their right mind would want to ride a goat. Humans. I’ll never understand them.

It started when some friends of the Marr family who were traveling through, came over to visit, and spend to the night in their guest house. After visiting (In Spanish, a language which I can’t understand!) in the living room for an hour, all the children 11 and under went outside to play. This happened to include the riding of a goat. Ugh… Rosy apparently thought they were cute, because she grabbed me, and ran outside to take picture of them. That’s what she always does whenever she sees something cute. Believe me, I know.

p1030705

Guys, she took waaaaaaay more pictures of that than what I just showed you! I’m only allowing you to see the very best ones, since most of them are embarrassing – they’re so blurry with such bad lighting, Ugh. She always does that to me…. :/

After she had finished with that, she was randomly inspired by the sunset, and ordered all of her siblings and their little Mexican friend to stand on the wall in front of it, to which they willingly and happily complied. (Wow, that was a long sentence! Especially for me!!!)

pizap.com15467446223861pizap.com15467449401591pizap.com15467448132251

I personally think these are the best picture that she took all day!

After the company went to the guest house to get ready for bed, Rosy got inspired again  only this time it was for a hair style. She grabbed her sister, Bekah, and ran to another room with a brush, comb and strangely enough… And empty water bottle… Unfortunately  I can’t tell you what went on in there, since she left me in the living room alone. :/

However, when she came back, I was horrified and utterly shocked at what I saw. Behold:

p1030763

Crazy? Yup. My thoughts exactly. She really liked it, her sister tolerated it, and everyone else thought it was hilarious. But she didn’t ask my opinion! 😦

After all that happened, the day was over, and they all got ready for bed.

Uh oh. I think I hear Rosy coming back. Please, PLEASE do not tell her I was here!!! She might never forgive me for ruining her blog. (At least, that’s what she would think about it… I personally believe the world would be better if it were run by cameras.) But she’s coming, so I really need to go. YOU NEVER SAW ME!!!!!

Okay, guys, I’m finally back. I’m really, really sorry, but I don’t think that I’m going to have time to tell you what I was going to tell you about the goats and hairstyles and stuff… I’m so sorry! Maybe another day, okay?

Oh look! I just saw one my siblings run past wearing a towel on her head for a hat! She was so cute! I’ve got to get a picture of this! 😀

TTFN!

Rosy

*Grabs camera and runs off*

I’m Back!!!

So, we’re finally back from our two week “furlough”. 😀 We had an awesome time catching up with friends and family. In some ways, it seems like we were gone for such a long time, and in other ways it seemed so short. But, we’re definitely very happy to be home again. 🙂 All in all, we drove over 3,500 miles!!! :O It was a looooooooong drive, but worth it! 😀 To help pass the time we listened to Lamplighter Theater and Jonathan Park.

Here are some highlights of our trip.

They were so extremely hospitable to us!!! (After all, we are 11 people…:P ) We had so much fun with them!!! 😀 Playing flashlight tag and kick the kick the can, boating on the pond, and going to the zoo… It was a BLAST!! 😀

A Condensed Version of the Month of May

Standard

May is over!!! And it’s June (almost)! We are almost halfway through the year! (I think the halfway mark is July 1.) Time is flying like crazy. So, anyway, here are a bunch of pictures that should mostly sum up the month of May.

P1310270

Aww! My little bro James is the most adorable child! Here he is, drawing a picture.

Our family took a trip up to the mountains where my dad often goes to preach. That was the first time that our whole family has a gone up there!

P1310630

A mother’s day picture. My mom is the 4th person from the beginning.

Our dog gave us a cat. Well, sort of… More like she brought us a cat. She just strutted into the yard carrying a little black thingy that looked like a rat… Which turned out to actually be a kitten who wasn’t really cute until she was a lot older… My sister claimed her, and took care of her. She is named Spark.

P1320046

Here she is now with my sister, Gracie.

P1320112

My brother Andy showing off his humungous muscles.

Blog pic 1

This is from a photoshoot I took of myself using self-timer on my camera.

We finally gave away all our puppies!!! We started out with ten of them, and after they were older were a huge annoyance…. Dad tried to sell them, but nobody would buy them, so he just gave them away. Lol, we are all relieved! We did keep one pup, whom we named Emma.

P1310559

Here are the puppies before they were given away. They are by the front door, waiting for some unsuspecting human to open it, so they can bound right in…

P1310393

I journaled quite a bit. Don’t you think the journal is pretty? A friend gave it to me! (:

Here are a few quotes from the story I’m currently working on.

Last week was my younger sister, Lizzie’s 11th birthday. Pictures aren’t good, because I forgot to actually look at my camera…

She got water balloons for her birthday, so we had a water balloon fight. There were 100 balloons, but the fight lasted about 4 1/2 minutes. And when it was finished, nobody was actually really wet, just the ground. Lizzie and Andy just weren’t satisfied, so so dumped a few buckets of water on their heads… (:

Last thing, I made a video about our trip to the mountains. Here it is! (Please ignore by weird face expression! (;)

Well, that’s about all I can think of for now! Thanks for reading this, and btw, I love comments! 😉

How did your month go?

Eclipse Tag

Standard

So many of my friends are doing this tag, that I was expecting (and hoping😉) to be tagged sooner or later. So, thank-you so much for tagging me in this, Gaby! I admit that you just might be faster than me. 🙂 I’m looking forward to answering your questions! As my good friend Gaby said in her post, “…when your fellow red-head says “you’re it” in a game of tag, you’ve no choice but to pass the baton on down the line.” (:

This is the second tag I have participated in, the first one being Blue Sky Tag.

So, here are the rules for Eclipse Tag.

  1. Thank the person who nominated you for this tag and link to their blog.

Thanks Gabbers! 😉

    2. List the rules so the next nominees will know them. (This can be at the beginning or end of your post)

As you can see, I have the rules spread here and there, but I will have them all written together at the end of the post so you can copy them. (:

    3. Include the ‘Eclipse’ image somewhere in your post

Done!

eclipse-tag1

4. Answer the 3 questions, and ask 3 questions for the people you tag to answer.

Alright, let’s see… Here are Gaby’s questions for me.

      1. If you were told you were to die tomorrow, would you continue living as you are now? What would you do differently, or would you continue on just as your day was planned?

Wow. Good question. First, it would depend on who had told me. If it was my little brother…. I might not believe it.😛 But if I had good reason to believe that it was true, I suppose that I would say good bye to my family and friends, and spend more time in prayer. But I wouldn’t be afraid, because I know right where I’m going when I die! Jesus saved me from my sins, and when I die I’ll go to heaven with him.

Jesus said, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live.” John 11:25

      2. What is one thing always in the back of your mind that you dream of doing but constantly put off and decide that ‘someday’ you’ll work towards, accomplish or just do?

Hmm… Well, I really want to start a magazine to encourage girls and draw them closer to the Lord. I’m not exactly putting it off, it’s just that at this point in my life I need to have other priorities. (i.e. school, family, relationships, etc…)

       3. And lastly…why in the world do you suppose we have to add this completely irrelevant picture to a game of tag??

Lol, I wonder? I guess there could be a few reasons for this! 1. Just for fun. 2. For people like me who always have to have at least 1 picture in every post. Or 3. No reason. Comment on the bottom and tell me which one seems most likely to you! (:

So now, here are my questions!

  1. Boots or flip-flops? Why?
  2. What was the last board or card game you played? And with whom?
  3. What is your birthday Proverb? (To find your birthday Proverb, go to the book of Proverbs and for the month you were born in, go to that chapter, and for the day you were born go to that verse. )

5. Nominate 3 people, and make sure they find out that they have been nominated.

Ok, like I said almost all of my friends have already been tagged. Literally. But I still managed to find three people to tag! Note to nominees, you don’t have to do this, so don’t feel obligated. (:

Anna

Amie

Leona Ruth

Again, don’t feel pressured!

Hey, that was fun! I hope that you all have a good day, and God bless!

A Condensed version of the Month of April

Standard

Hi everyone! April has been busy, fun and… Hmm, what else? Musical!!! My sister Gracie and I made four whole song videos all of which will probably make their way here, one by one eventually. There was several beautiful sunsets, and I took tons of silhouettes with my siblings. But those will be in another post by themselves later (cuz there are so many of them, lol!)

A few of the sunsets

Well, that’s about it for this month. We also have a stray kitten that our dog Velvet brought in from somewhere. My siblings are having a blast taking care of it.

Oh, and also, I made a video for family camp! I didn’t get it done until just now, so that’s why I didn’t post it her until now. Here it is!

Well, until next time!
