2023 Reading Journal Set Up πŸ€Ž

Hey friends!!

For 2023, I’ve decided to keep two bullet journals. My regular journal, and a reading journal. As you know, I love to read, so I’m very excited about starting it. Here’s what I did for my 2023 yearly set up. πŸ™‚

I decided the theme would simply be brown, since it matches the cover. Here’s the notebook I’m using, by the way. This was my bullet journal in 2022, and now I’m using it for both of my bullet journals this year as well. So as you can tell, I really love it!!

On the very first page, I wrote a bookish quote, and a quick cover page.

After that, I made a tracker to keep track of my Goodreads reading challenge, which is 160 books. I accidentally drew too many squares, but that’s probably a good thing, in case I decide to increase my goal in the future. XD

I also have a page to write down every book I read in 2023, but it’s quite simple so I won’t post it here.

A page to keep track of all the book I purchase in 2023. Probably should have done more than two pages…. πŸ˜‚

These next two pages have a place to write down my favorite books, authors and characters of 2023.

I listed all the books of the Bible on this page, and will mark them off as I complete them. I am still working on the second page, as you can see. It’s a book bingo game, and I’m writing a bunch of bookish goals in the squares. I’m still trying to think of more goals! XD

I’m so excited about this reading challenge by Chantel!

I also decided to do an alphabet challenge where I try to read a book starting with each letter of the alphabet. It should be easy, except for a couple of letters. (like x?!?!?! Lol!) I also made a series tracks. Those are the ones I’m reading right now. I left an empty space at the end of each one, JUST in case the authors publish another one in the series…. haha!

And that’s it for my yearly spreads!!!! Now, here are my monthly spreads for January while I’m at it. πŸ˜€

My cover page has the name of the month, plus a place to write the books I read. That way when I look back at it in the future, I’ll instantly be able to see exactly what I books I read in that month. πŸ™‚

On the second spread I have my planned TBR for January, and a Days I Read tracker.

A journal area to write my thoughts on the the books I’m reading, and a place to put my reviews.

Here I will put in all the books I finish reading, and also keep track of some of the reading related habits I want do each day. Also, some monthly stats. πŸ™‚

A page to write down my favorite quotes I come across – if I end up remembering any of them. I need to work that. XD And on the next page, I can keep track of the books I’m reading, and mark each chapter as I read it. I’ve been doing this page in my regular bullet journal, but now I’m moving it here. πŸ™‚

In the following month I want to do spreads and collages dedicated to my favorite books I read. I’m so excited to use this journal throughout 2023!!

Thank you for reading this post!! I hope that it will give you all some ideas and inspiration for your own journals, if you enjoy that sort of thing. πŸ™‚

October 2022, Bullet Journal Set Up πŸπŸ‚

October 2022, Bullet Journal Set Up πŸπŸ‚

Hi Friends! ❀

Y’all. So I decided in my last post that I would try to start posting more often. However, disaster struck, and my laptop up and DIED on me. The battery was completely shot, so we brought it to a computer fixing place, where it has been for the last 5 weeks. I hate using almost all other devices, but obviously had to some. However, I didn’t want to blog on anything but my computer, but it’s been so long since I’ve done a post, that I’m just going to do it.

So, even though this is (very) late, here is my October bullet journal set up!! This was so much fun to make, because I love autumn!

For the cover page, I simply made a very fun and autumnal collage. ❀

I really like this calendar page!

By now I’ve already read several of these, lol…. I left a page blank, because I always add more books later in the month. I actually already have… XD

I wanted to do a little bit more in the book/reading department this month, so I added a couple of extra trackers.

A bucket list that I have yet to fill out… πŸ˜‰ Do y’all have any ideas for it?

Also, here’s a quick tip for finding photos to use in journaling/scrapbooking – save your old calendars, and cut out the little pictures in the back where it shows you what’s all in the calendar. πŸ˜€

A daily log, where I usually put my to-do lists. I think this page turned out so cute!

And that’s the last page! I’ve been particularly enjoying using this month’s set up. It’s very cozy and autumnal. 🧑 πŸπŸ‚

Thank you all for reading, and hopefully I will get my computer back soon, so I can continue blogging and making videos more often. πŸ˜€

I hope everyone is having a great day!

Love, Rosy 🧑🍁

August Bullet Journal Set Up

Hey everyone!! Wow, it’s been so long since I’ve posted… I’ve been busy, but I have several posts coming up soon, so keep a look out for those. Meanwhile, here is my bujo set much for August!

Woah, did I just say August?!?! Crazy!!!!! I always tend to picture August as nearing the last portion of the year.

Anyway, my theme this month is very different from last month’s – basically the complete opposite.

I decided to challenge myself to do an entire set up using ONLY the black and gray! Boy, it was a challenge though…. I always natural reach for all the colorful markers and pens! However, I really like how it turned out! I didn’t think I would love it, but I like how simple and minimalistic it is.

It also goes to show that you don’t need a whole bunch of supplies to bullet journal! I only used pencil, pen and one marker – that’s pretty much it.

I had a fun idea for the calendar, and that was to simply write the date vertically down the center of the page. Then. I can just write events/special days next to the date! Then I have a goals and plans page, which I haven’t filled out yet. XD

Habit tracker – I like how the header turned out!

Gratitude log and social tracker. πŸ™‚

You guys are probably tired of me saying this is my favorite page, but… it just is, and I have to say it. I’m so excited for the books I’m reading this month! There are a lot on here that I’ve been looking forward to for quite a long time. I already started Once I Knew, and it’s amazing!!!!!❀️ πŸ’”

Lastly is the daily log, and it turned out a bit of a mess. The dots looked weird to me, so I tried making them smaller which helped, but I got tired of drawing them so I gave up on them on the second page. πŸ˜‚ It may not be the prettiest, but it’s functional, and that’s all I really need. πŸ˜‰

That’s all I did for this set up! I didn’t go all out, and only did a few pages, but I think it turned out nice. πŸ™‚

I hope everyone has an amazing month! Hopefully I will be posting a July recap in a few days. πŸ˜€

June 2022 Bullet Journal Set Up πŸ‰

June 2022 Bullet Journal Set Up πŸ‰

Hey everyone! πŸ˜€

Gracious, we’re almost halfway through this year!! 😲 The month of May seemed to fly by particularly fast. It was a good month, and hopefully I’ll remember to post a recap later!

My bujo theme for June is….

πŸ‰ Watermelon!! πŸ‰

I wanted to do something summer-y, even though it’s not quite summer yet. πŸ˜€

I managed to fit what I usually have in 3 pages, on 1. I actually really like how it turned out! It’s much more compact, and saves space. Besides, why do I really need an entire page to write 30 things I’m thankful for? πŸ˜‚

If you’re confused about how my mood tracker is supposed to work-each day I will draw seeds on them, and the more seeds I draw, the better the day was. πŸ˜‚ Although I just can’t keep from thinking of the blank watermelons as tiny, red and pink pizzas… Haha!!!

I made a highlights page, where I will just write down some of the things that particularly stood out to me in the month, and on the next page and did a social and workout tracker. I had a little bit of extra space on the bottom of the page, so I used that to include a Bible verse. πŸ˜„

My book tracking page. The blank spot on the top of the second page is because I always end up reading more books than I originally wrote down, and I want to have some space to add those in. I’m excited for this month’s books!!

Lastly, I did my daily log, where I usually put todo lists and the like. I think the watermelon font I used is so fun!

Happy June everyone! I hope you have an amazing month!! ❀️

May, 2022 Bullet Journal Set Up

Hello friends!! πŸ’•

I don’t know if anyone noticed, but I took a needed break from bullet journaling in April. I tried to put something together, but it just wasn’t working out and was getting stressful, so I just decided to skip a month. πŸ™‚ But now I’m back, with my set up for May! The theme is…

🌸 Spring flowers!! 🌸

I didn’t feel up to doing anything super artistic on the cover page, so I decided to make a collage with some Spring-y photos and quotes I got printed recently. I think it turned out really pretty!

I did an activity tracker (which I probably should have called a workout tracker) and a sleep tracker, both of which I hadn’t done in a while. I decided that since I did nothing in April, I wanted to do extra in May, so. πŸ˜‚ 😁

There are several different trackers here, including a gratitude tracker, social tracker, and a little section for goals and rewards.

My favorite spread, the book tracker of course. I’m really excited about the books I’m reading this month. As you can see, I’ve already read quite a bit…. πŸ˜‚ (And by the time I’m writing this I’ve already finished a couple of them….) XD

I really like how this set up turned out. My favorite thing about it is probably all of the pretty colors! I’m really excited to be getting back into bullet journaling. πŸ˜€

If you guys have any themes that you’d like to see me do in the future, please let me know in the comments. I’d love to see your ideas!!

Happy May!!

My January 2022 Bullet Journal Set Up

Ok, so to be honest, I wasn’t feeling very inspired this month. I may be a little bit burned out from spending so much time bullet journaling every single month in 2021. Half of me wanted to take a break for January, but since it’s the first month of the year, it feels kind of sad to do that. Normally I’d want to be extra for January, but this time, I ended up just doing something super simple. I think it’ll be good to get a break though, and hopefully I’m start back up as normal in February or March! (And I’ll probably end up skipping a month this year too, so. )

Alright, the theme for January is…. *GASP* I didn’t do a theme! As I said before, i was feeling un-inspired, and didn’t have clue what theme I wanted to do. So, I decided that I was just going to do whatever I wanted, and also not worry so much about making everything perfect. So if they don’t seem as nice or well thought out as normal, that’s why. πŸ˜‰ And yeah, let’s just get into it!

The first thing I did, was a sunset circle kind of thing in the middle of the page. However, due to my apparent and obvious lack of colored pencil blended abilities, I absolutely hated, and didn’t have a clue what to do with it. So I walked away for awhile, and came back to it a bit later when I was feeling less frustrated. I decided to do a zen tangle all around the edges of the page, and after that was done, I liked it much better!! Other than the terrible hand-lettering of the word “January”, I think it’s pretty good, haha!

In my habit tracker, I accidentally made two spots bigger than the rest, which caused great distress for a few minutes. I just went with it though, and you can hardly see it now πŸ˜‰

The mood tracker is a… you know, I’m not sure what it is. A page full of geometric shapes. πŸ˜‚ Maybe it’s a stained glass window.

I like the theme of this page!

As awhiles, my favorite page! Here’s a glimpses of some of the books I’m planning on reading this month. (I’ve already finished that last one, which I’m reading out loud to my siblings!)

For my daily log, I did something super simple and just did a pretty design at the top. I didn’t even section of portions for days – I figured I’d just write down the date wherever I was at on the page. I think it’s working pretty well!

I think this is so pretty!! πŸ˜€ ❀️

As you can see, I didn’t do as many pages as I usually do, and that’s ok. I think it’ll be good to have a tiny break, and get re-motivated. Whatever the case, I’m really excited to see what January, and 2022 holds!! πŸ˜€

What are some of your New Year’s Resolutions? What are you looking forward to in 2022? What are you reading this month?

October Bullet Journal Set Up 🍁 πŸ‚

Hey everyone!!

IT’S FALL!!! I’ve been looking forward to autumn for a while, and I’m so excited it’s finally here! Autumn is one of my favorite seasons. πŸ™‚ 🍁 πŸ‚ πŸ˜„ YAY for fall!!

So of course, my theme for October is… Autumn! πŸ˜€

The cover page is a lot more complicated than I normally make, but I really love how it turned out!! It’s soo fall-y! XD πŸ˜€

Next we have a quote made (Which I love!!), and A Line a Day. πŸ™‚

Habit and Mood Tracker. πŸ™‚

Sleep Tracker, Bible Reading Tracker and my social tracker. πŸ™‚

So far I have only a couple of books written down, but don’t worry – the entire page will fill up before long. 😁 For now, here’s just the corner of the page that I have. XD

And lastly, here’s my daily log, which I think turned out really nice and atumn-y. πŸ˜„ πŸ‚

And there we have it! This is one of my favorite set ups I’ve ever done. 🍁 Did I mention I love Autumn? I love coziness, reading books and drinking tea, all the pretty colors… I’m really looking forward to doing all the autumn-y things, and checking off my bucket list (which I hope to post later!)

Anyway, we have a two week trip coming up the day after tomorrow (which I’m SO excited about!), so I have to go continue getting ready. So I won’t be posting for a couple of weeks and my September Recap may be a few days late, but I’ll be back soon, hopefully with some fall posts! πŸ˜€

Rosy ❀️ 🍁

P.S. Even though this was posted today, I actually wrote it on September 22, at 4:30 PM. XD So when you read this, assuming you read it shortly after being posted, we’ll probably be on our trip and having an amazing time. πŸ™‚ Consequently, I may not be on the computer to moderate and answer comments, but I will soon. Have a great day!! ❀

What’s your favorite season? Do you prefer “Fall” or “Autumn”?

August 2021 Bullet Journal Set Up

August 2021 Bullet Journal Set Up

Hey everyone!! Can you believe it’s almost August?! To me, August seems to signify that we’re nearing the end of the year. How crazy is that?!

Also, this set up used up the LAST of my bullet journal!!!! “tis a bit sad, like saying good bye to an old friend (Hey! It stuck with me throughout this whole year!). BUT. I have another one coming in the mail soon! I’m excited to get it, and to show you guys in my September set up. πŸ˜€ (Spoiler: It’s a certain shade of green. That’s all I’m saying. You’ll get to meet him next month.) πŸ˜‰

Anyways, the theme for this month, is….

I’ve been wanting to do a sunflower theme for months, and I’m (mostly) really happy with how it turned out! There are a few things yes, that definitely could have been done better, but for the most part, I love it. 🌻

Here is the cover page, Word of the Month, Goals (which I haven’t written yet, sorry!) and a gratitude log. As you can see, I have everything pretty compact and squished together, since I had only a few pages left in the book to fit everything. When I get my new journal, I hope to be a bit more loose with it, and be able to use some more pages! And I love how the little sunflower I drew turned out…. πŸ˜€ (If I do say so myself. Lol!)

My word of the month for August is Meekness – something I’ve been thinking about a lot lately! Which actually brings me to my first regret – the lettering I did for “Meekness” is atrocious. I thought and thought of ways to cover it up, but that was easier said than done. At last, I decided to be meek, leave it as it is, and post it anyway. It’s a good reminder to be humble… LOL! πŸ˜‚

Mood tracker (which I love!) habit tracker, and a goals and rewards thing. πŸ˜€

I did a sleep tracker for the first time last month, and it went well, so I think I’ll start adding it to my regular set up from now on. πŸ˜€ The second page was empty and I couldn’t decide how to fill it, so I finally decided to do a very random “life tracker”. Kinda like a habit tracker, but different. I think it turned out pretty cute!

And this brings me to my second regret, which is how I accidentally wrote “Life”… Oh well, I’ll survive! XD

And lastly, my Books, Bible and Social Tracker! I left some space on my books and Bible sections, to hopefully write in more books that I want to read, but didn’t necessarily plan on. πŸ™‚

And there you have it! There’s a weekly log page as well, but it’s pretty boring, so I won’t show it here. πŸ˜‰ I really love this set up, and CAN’T WAIT to use it! Yay for August! And sunflowers!! 🌻 ❀️

As a bonus, here are some sunflower pictures I took last year, that I love! πŸ˜€

I hope you guys enjoyed this post!! If you bullet journal, what’s your theme for August? πŸ˜€

July 2021 Bullet Journal Set Up

Hello people! Can you believe it’s already (practically!) July?! So crazy! But, I’m going to hold off rambling about it too much, because I have enough of that in the next post. (Stay tuned!) Lol!! πŸ˜‚ 😁 But yay for summer!!

My theme for this month, is…

πŸ‰ Watermelon!! πŸ‰

This was super fun to do, and I was even eating watermelon while I was making it! πŸ˜€ πŸ‰ Fun times!

First, we have the cover page, calendar, goals (which I haven’t written yet… XD) and my word of the month, which is diligence. πŸ˜€ 😁

Love how the cover page turned out!

For my mood tracker, I did a bunch of little watermelons, and for the habit tracker I just did a SUPER simple one. I’ll probably go over it, and spice it up later… It’s kind of boring right now! XD

A Line a Day (where I write a bit about my day, each day) and a sleep tracker. This is my first time doing a sleep tracker, so we’ll see how that goes!! And again, these pages are slightly boring, but oh well… At least it’s functional! Lol. πŸ˜„

And as always, my absolute favorite spread…..!!!! The books I’m reading, my blog and youtube post tracker, and my Bible reading tracker!! Love it. Lol! πŸ˜‚ 😁

And lastly, my weekly spreads. It’s super pretty, but it doesn’t need to be, so. Haha! 😁

Please ignore that weird little watermelon thing in the corner. Ahhh, that did not work!! 🀣

And that’s that! Thank you all so much for reading this post. ❀ I enjoyed doing this set up, and I’m super excited to use it. I love new months!!! πŸ˜€

Rosy 🌻 πŸ‰ ❀️

How was your month? Do you have any plans for July? What’s your favorite part of summer?

P.S. Here’s a fun little thing for you guys! How many points did you get?!! I think I have 12. πŸ˜„ 😁

June 2021 Bullet Journal Set Up

Hey everyone!! IT’S JUNE!!! That’s just sooo crazy. 2021 is going by SO fast!!! Every time we reach a new month, it just blows me away…! LOL!

Anyway, my bullet journal theme for June was….

I’ve already actually done this theme in my old bullet journal, but that was before I’d really got into bullet journaling, and I was still figuring things out, so I really wanted to it again! Besides, it so pretty, that I may even want to do it yet again in the future. PLUS, I had some super cute succulent stickers that I wanted to use!! I really enjoyed setting up this month.

I think the cover page turned out lovely! (And no, I don’t have 0 goals for June… I just hadn’t written yet.) And my word for the month is humility, something I’ve been thinking about a lot lately. I pray that God will teach me humility this month especially (and always!) cause man, I need it! 🀣

I really love how the habit tracker, but I really don’t like the mood tracker… Oh well, I’ll survive, LOL! πŸ˜‚

Possibly my favorite spread this month, as it has lots to do with reading!! And plus, I love how it turned out aesthetically. 😍

The first page is good, but the second page…..??? Um, let’s just say it’s in need of some help. It’s really messed up, and I haven’t thought of a good way to fix it yet. (the playlist page, which is just going to be a list of my favorite songs in June) Y’all have any thoughts or ideas for that?

Lastly, here is my weekly/daily spread. Super simple and functional as usual. πŸ˜€ Some people like to do super amazing, pretty weekly logs, which are so beautiful and awesome, but not nearly as functional and take so long to do. I used to do that, but now I realized it much easier and practical to do something a bit more simple, just because that’s what works best for me. Of course, you can do it however you feel works best for you!! πŸ˜€

And there you have it!! I love how (most) everything turned out, and I’m enjoying using it. I hope you guys enjoyed this post, and I’ll see you again soon for mo June Recap, hopefully soon!

HAPPY JUNE, and have a great month!!!!!!

~Rosy πŸ’– 🌻

How was your May? Do you have any plans for June? (I love comments!!!) πŸ˜› 😁
