February and March Review

Hello everyone! πŸ’• 🌷

How are you all? I’m so sorry I haven’t posted in quite a long time! 23 days to be exact… Yikes!! Things have been pretty busy here, and I’ve just been lacking the necessary motivation for blogging. I’m here now, but I can promise how consistent I’ll be, hehe! I will try though. πŸ˜€ I really want to get back into it.

Anyway, about half way though March, I realized something terrible… I forgot to do a February review!!!! That’s the first time I’ve downright forgotten in… probably the history of me doing these. I’ve skipped some I think, but never forgotten. So I’m just going to do both of the last two months in this post. February was waaay too long ago to remember almost anything… But I’ll do my best! πŸ˜‚

February

*Long, awkward silence*

Yep, I told you I wouldn’t be able to remember much… LOL. XD

Our friends Pablo and Anna, and their kids visited us one Sunday for, and after church. We had a fun time with them!

March

I spent the month of March doing TONS of math, so that I could start 12th grade. I finished most of 11th awhile ago, but was behind in math, so…. not fun….!! Eventually I got caught up enough to start 12th grade, which was really exciting!! Hopefully I will do a post on what I’m doing for 12th grade for you all. πŸ˜€

I also appear to have taken little to no photos in March. Ugh, I’ll have to work on that in April. Meanwhile, let me go scrounge up what I can from March. πŸ™‚

Selfies with siblings πŸ˜‚. ❀️

My grandparents visited us fora few days! We had a lot of fun with them. πŸ˜€

My grandpa, and sister Susy

A few of our goats have kidded! I don’t have a particular liking for goats (at all), but the little kids are adorable!!! 😍 Unfortunately, the mother was not accepting them for a while, and we had to hold her down to help them nurse. XD I helped with that for a bit, and did not enjoy it one little bit, LOL! I survived though. πŸ˜€ By now, the mother is letting them nurse, a lot more at least. πŸ™‚

My entire family signed up for the Spring100, a challenge where you try to walk 100 miles in Spring. A few of us have done it in past years, but this year we’re all doing it. πŸ˜€ It’s been a lot of fun, taking walks together!! I think I’ve done around 12 or 13 miles so far. πŸ™‚

I spent the last bit of March feeling pretty sick with a cold… I’m still bit sick, but getting a lot better, thankfully!

  1. Stressed Out: A Practical, Biblical Approach to Anxiety by Todd Friel (4 stars)
  2. The Minstrel by Malachi Cyr (5 stars!)

  10. Two O’Clock Slump by Chautona Havig (5 Stars)

My favorites were… Never mind, there were too many good books here, that I would end up picking half of them. XD

Hopefully I will have a more detailed review for April, but this will have to do for now. πŸ™‚

Speaking of April…. Happy April!

πŸ˜‚ πŸ˜‚ πŸ˜‚

I’m so excited for this month, and for the weather to begin warming up, and outside to start getting greener. I love Spring! 🌸 🌳 🌷

I hope you all are doing great!! How did your last few months go?

January 2022 Review

January 2022 Review

Hey everyone!! πŸ˜€

In 2021 I did monthly recaps. I’m tired of that, so now I’m going to do monthly reviews. Will that make any difference? Nope. But will it make me happy? Yes. So we’re doing it. 🀣

Sorry, that was random. Anywho.

We’ve gone through the entire first month of 2022!! It’s now time for my to perform my monthly ritual of saying, “BOY, this year is going by crazy fast! Already.” πŸ˜‚

I snapped this photo of me and my siblings while we were getting ready for a video call. 8/9 of us here!

Speaking of, I had a super fun video call with my friend, Kyra. πŸ˜€

We attempted to make a heart… But hearts are very difficult to make together with your hands when you’re 500 miles apart. It ended up looking like a broken heart, but oh well. We’ll try again next time! πŸ˜‚

My sister Grace and I visited a friend of ours nearby. We hadn’t seen her in a good while, so that was great! She has an adorable baby girl. 😍

Me and my sister, Lizzie

I’ve been working on going on walks more often. It’s a good form of exercise!

A few weeks ago, we rented a new building for church. We had been meeting on a building on our property, but now we want to be in the city, closer to more people.

Doing a class with my siblings!
Recording a song

My dad went on a trip to another state in Mexico by the ocean. He got this really need picture of some crocodiles!

I made this this Jane Austen book themed collage in my art journal using dust jackets from some of her books. I think it turned out so cool!

A painting that I was working on a few weeks ago, and um, am still kind of working on. πŸ˜‚ I really need to finish it! I want to put a Bible verse on it, but I still haven’t decided which one to use. πŸ™‚

I recorded these songs with my friend Kyra – I sang, and she played the guitar. She even wrote the second song… It’s amazing!! Make sure to subscribe to her channel if you’d like to see more song videos like these! πŸ˜€

I read quite a bit this month, haha. πŸ˜‚ The Emily Abbott books are shorter though, so it wasn’t a totally insane amount.

  1. The Lost Dutchman’s Secret by Rebekah Jones (5 stars)
  2. Keep Faith in an Age of Reason by Jason Lisle (4.5 stars)
  3. Snow-crossed Letter by Chautana Havig (4 stars)

  15. Once Upon a Dime by Perry Elisabeth Kirkpatrick (5 Stars)

TheIlluminatingBox Etsy Shop Review

Hey everyone! Today I have another review, and one I’m particularly excited about, because it’s for some of my favorite things – stickers and stationary. πŸ˜€

TheIlluminatingBox is a fun Etsy shop, full of washi tape, stickers, paper and stationary samples – and most items are under 5 dollars!

Everything came in good time, and in good packaging. The envelopes Susan used for her products are really cute, and I’ll definitely be reusing them in the future!

First off, I received some adorable succulent stickers, which I absolutely love and can’t wait to use! This 50 piece set is only $4.64. Check it out here!!

Look how cute!!!

These craft paper samples are perfect for journaling and scrapbooking. There are all sorts of colors, designs and textures – so much variety. I’m really happy with this set! Check this product out here!

I picked out my favorite pieces, and got them together for a picture. Some of them seem almost too pretty to use!

The last product I received is this sticker sample pack. There were so many stickers, of every style you could ask for, which was a lot of fun! There are some random stickers that I know I’ll probably never use, but it was still worth it for me, because there were also a lot of pretty ones. Here’s the link to this fun sticker set!

Here are my favorite stickers of the whole batch!

She also added a a little thank you note, with a coupon for my next purchase and some extra fun stuff, which I thought was really thoughtful and sweet!

I would rate this shop 5/5 stars, and highly recommend it for all stationary lovers like myself. I’m sure I’ll be ordering more from her as soon as I start running low again! So go ahead check out TheIlluminatingBox, and tell me your favorite item from the shop in the comments below!

I want to thank Susan for allowing me to review her shop! It was an absolute pleasure. πŸ˜€

“Graphics by Josie” Etsy Shop Review!

“Graphics by Josie” Etsy Shop Review!

Hello everyone! Today I have the privilege of reviewing some items from my friend Josephine’s new Etsy shop, GraphicsbyJosie. Her all digital shop is full of useful, fun printable, and art. Everything is digital, which means you don’t have to pay shipping! It’s all is super affordable, and well made.

Josephine kindly sent me her Digital Adult Coloring Book, and two of her Large Group Portraits for me to review here on the blog. So exciting! And so, without further ado, on to my review!

Starting off with the Large Group Portraits. I loved this so much!! Josephine was super fast getting the drawings done and sent, and she did a phenomenal job. I really, really love how they turned out!!

She drew this picture of me and my siblings, as well as one with my whole family. I love them so much! The sibling one is definitely my favorite of the two. ❀ I keep staring at it, because it’s so cute! XD

These are the original photos. πŸ™‚

Now get this… These portraits cost only $5.00 on her shop! That’s an amazing price for the work that she does. However, that’s only an introductory price, so get yours quick before the price goes up!! Get it HERE!

And now to review the coloring book!

My favorite things about it: 1) Super simple, easy to color 2) Since it’s printable, you can pick and choose which pages to color, as well as print them out over and over whenever you want!

What I didn’t prefer: 1) Most of the pages weren’t as detailed as I generally prefer, but that’s a matter of preference. πŸ™‚

I picked out a few pages to print out, and tested them with several different mediums. I found that water color paint work well on the pages that have a lot of empty space, where as if I used colored pencils or pens, it would have taken a bit of time to fill. But I didn’t mind that with the watercolors, in fact, I really enjoyed it.

The other pages with more detail, were perfect for colored pencils, pens, and markers. πŸ˜€

This picture was colored with colored pencils. I love all the random and fun shapes in there! I enjoyed coloring this one immensely.

I colored this page with watercolors! Watercolor paint was perfect, because I feel like, for me at least, it would have taken too much time to color with pens or pencils. And I love how it turned out! Painting the galaxy was a blast. And guys, the quote…? Love it!! ⭐️ ✨

And lastly, I colored this one using markers. Guys, coloring this, choosing the colors, watching it come together… It was so satisfying and relaxing! I used tons of colors in this, and I love this way it turned out. This picture was well drawn, and had the perfect amount of detail, without having too much.

And here are my finished pictures! I definitely had a good time coloring these, and would recommend this coloring book. πŸ˜€ It costs only $3.95, which is only like… 25 cents per picture – how cool is that?! So go check it out!!!

All in all, Josie’s shop was lovely, she keeps adding more fun stuff, and it’s all at a pretty affordable price. She was also great to work with, and got my products to me in very good time. So yeah. Go check out her Etsy Shop! πŸ˜€

Have a great day!! πŸ˜€

Love,

Rosy
