I Wrote a Song… :)

Standard

Hey guys! 😀

So… I did a thing. I wrote a song! Ok, I’ve written several songs. But, either they didn’t turn out very good, or they’re just the kind of poetry you don’t really wanna go around showing everyone. You know, like a journal entry kind of poem. 😉

This song I wrote is one of my favorites I’ve written. I actually got inspired after watching It’s a Wonderful Life with my siblings. I shall I say, re-inspired? 😉 At the end of the movie, they sing Auld Lang Syne, a traditional Scottish Folk song. I’ve heard a lot of songs to the tune of Auld Lang Syne, and I’ve always wanted to write one to that tune. But, I never really got around to it. When I watched the movie, I got re-inspired and spent the next couple of days working on this song. Here ’tis!! 😉

Unending Love

By Rosy Marr

Verse 1

Lord Jesus, what a loving friend,

Who left His throne above,

Oh, to redeem the sinner’s soul,

With His unending Love

Chorus

With his unending love,

With his unending love,

Oh, to redeem the sinner’s soul,

With his unending love

Verse 2

He lifted me from depths of hell,

He saved me with His blood,

He pulled me out of deep despair,

With His unending love

Chorus

With his unending love,

With his unending love,

Oh, to redeem the sinner’s soul,

With his unending love

Verse 3

What wondrous gift bestowed on us,

He sent His son beloved,

In love, the Shepherd sought me out,

With His unending love!

To God be the Glory,

Rosy

Update From the Past Month

Standard

So, the last few weeks have been… Hard. And sad, and good, and fun, and rough, and sweet, and awful, and happy, and terrible… Bitter and sweet. And yeah. That pretty much explains it.

Last week we went to Pheonix, Arizona to attend the unexpected funeral of our little friend, Joshua Young. ❤️ Please pray for his family during this time of loss. 😔 ❤️ Here’s a song that has been an encouragement to me over the last few days. Actually, here’s two!

I got to visit quite a few friends in Arizona last week! 🙂 ❤

Singing! ❤ (Actually, we were singing, but the sight of a camera sent us laughing…) XD

More singing<3

And in other news family news… We got sick, bought a keyboard and spent 2 days in the car together. (During which, we passed the time by listening to Jonothan Park, and Lamplighter Theatre!)

Also, the peaches on our peach tree are starting to get ripe, which I’m excited about because they are SO. GOOD. 😋😋😋

Yuuum!!!! 😀

So, a few weeks ago we went to the graduation party of someone we know. There was a lot of visiting and food, and all of us ladies and girls spent a lot of time talking, laughing and watching some of the men and boys playing soccer. It was a very enjoyable time. 🙂

For the meal, they cooked up the pig. (The one you see down below.) Hopefully y’all aren’t too grossed out by this! ;P While we were eating, we sat and watched our food’s head dangling in front of us. 🙂 Dad got up and took a selfie with his friend, El Cochi. (The Pig)

The little boys hanging out with the pig. Or is the pig hanging out with the boys? 🤔😂

The women, visiting. 🙂

Well, I should probably head to bed now… It’s almost 10:00 at night here. 😉 I think I will post this tomorrow though. I’ll probably be able to check for typos and stuff better after I get some sleep… XD 🙂

My first A Cappella!

Standard

I’ve been wanting to make an a cappella video for quite a while, but have never gotten around to it. Until Saturday! 😀 Last Saturday I finally decided I was going to make an a cappella video that day. Fist though, I had to figure out what song to sing… I flipped through the hymnal for a while and finally came across the song Freely, Freely, and decided that it would sound pretty good in a cappella. No matter that I didn’t hardly even know the sing… I mean, I’d heard it, and even sung it before, but by no means did I have the words memorized! xD

So, I spent Saturday morning learning the words, and had it pretty much learned by that afternoon. (It’s not a hard song to learn.) I went over to our guest house so that I (probably!) wouldn’t have kids talking to me or asking me questions every few minutes, lol! XD

After maybe… an hour and a half maybe, I had all the recordings recorded. 😀 After that, I came back into the house, and put them all together on the computer. It turned out a lot better than I expected! 😀 Like, I was actually really (pleasantly) surprised!

Oh, and sorry for the horrible lighting… It was dork outside, and all there was in the building was a little bare lightbulb. I was able to up the brightness a bit, but still… XD

Freely, Freely

God forgave my sin in Jesus’ name.
I’ve been born again in Jesus’ name
And in Jesus’ name I come to you
To share his love as he told me to.
He said ‘Freely, freely you have received;, freely, freely give.
Go in my name, and because you believe others will know that I live.
All pow’r is giv’n in Jesus’ name
in earth and heav’n in Jesus name
And in Jesus’ name I come to you
To share his pow’r as he told me to.
He said ‘Freely, freely you have received;, freely, freely give.
Go in my name, and because you believe others will know that I live.

In Christ,

Rosy

P.S. Oh, and a piece of good news… It’s finally starting to feel like Spring here!!!!! 😀

Do you know this song? Should I try to do more a cappella videos? Is it starting to feel like spring at your house?

Random Survey Results!

Random Survey Results!

Sooo…. the Random Survey I made a few days ago was a blast! 😀 I really enjoyed seeing all your answers come in. My favorite part was seeing all your assumptions about me! That was great!

Now, I am going to post the results to the survey, and I’m also going to go through all the assumptions about me, and tell y’all which are true, and which are false! 🙂 😉

They’re have been 35 responses so far, and of course these results are only including those 35, not anyone else’s who do it later. Speaking of, if you haven’t done the survey yet, click here to do so. I would totally love to see your answers!! 😀

Home Alone// Jesus Loves Me

This weekend most of the family went to El Paso, Texas, mainly to drop Mom and Lizzie off at the airport, as they are heading to Kansas. They left early yesterday morning. (Early, like, 4:00 a.m. or something! 😮 ) I am staying home with Gracie, Bekah and Ruthie. The rest of the family should be back later this afternoon. 🙃

While they’re gone, Gracie and I are taking advantage of the quiet and making as many song videos as we possibly can for our blog, The Delightful Dueters. 😄 Here’s one we did with Bekah and Ruthie. I’m actually quite pleased with how it turned out. They did a great job! 😁 😉

A Condensed Version of the Month of June and July

A Condensed Version of the Month of June and July

Hello everyone! I’m sorry I missed last months update. So, I will make it up, and do the last two months in this post. 🙂

June

Lately I have been enjoying “trick photography”.

More photoshoots of my sibling. 🙂

As you may know, if you’ve been keeping up with my blog, we have sold our van, and bought a new one! You can read about that here.

James thought this was so weird!!! Wait, it is… Really weird…

This one is sooo creepy! I’M GETTING KISSED BY A CARROT!!!!

The kids were playing house, and then asked me to take their family picture for them… Susy (3) is the mom, James (2) is the dad, and Bekah (8) is the child, along with a few other dolls. As you can see, the family kind of collapsed in the second picture. And I’m not entirely sure why the mom is sticking her tongue out…

July

Colorado

We went to Colorado around the end of June and beginning of July. We were helping our grandparents with the wheat harvest. I will post more pictures later, but here are a few of them. 🙂

The rest of the month, went on mostly as normal. Then on the 26th of July, we had the Franklins and the Pereanus here from AZ!!! We had an awesome time of fellowship with them!!!! Again, I’m planning on posting lots of pics later, but for now, here are some of my favorites! 🙂

Josh Franklin took this giant selfie right before they left. Not quite everyone is in this picture.

Some of them sang for us at the church in the mountains. 🙂

Here is a video of Gracie, Jeri F., and I singing Amazing Grace to the tune of When I Survey the Wondrous Cross. We had a lot of fun with this arrangement!!! 🙂

Well, that’s about it for now! The Franklins and Pereanus left here yesterday morning. The house seems so empty and quiet without them!!! 😦

And here is a fun random question for you… So I was cleaning up some pin needles, and suddenly got inspired for this picture… What is it of/from? Sorry, it’s not a great picture, but… 😉

I hope you all have had a great July!

Trip to Couihila Part 1: Time with Relatives

Standard

For those of you who are wondering, Coauhuila is a state here in Mexico. That’s also the state where I was born!

I am planning to break this trip up into a few parts (I’m not sure how many yet!), and write about it over the next few days. (That includes pictures, of course!)

So, we left a few weeks ago, on Monday, at about 4:00 am. We drove all day (almost), and arrived at my grandparents house at about 4:00 pm. We had a good time visiting, and catching up.

Mom with my Grandma, and Dad with my Grandpa and Uncle.

Walking with Uncle Benjamin to watch him feed his horse.

P1290364

Playing on the big, concrete slide that my grandpa made. The lady in the black and white striped shirt is my aunt Ruth.

Mom wasn’t too thrilled about this…

This is a funny picture! He looks like he’s hitting her, but he’s not. I’m not sure what he was really doing…

Lizzie and Abigail washing dishes. Then Lizzie took a silly selfie with my camera.

Devotions and singing.

Lots of games.

I found the title to this book really funny!

Here is a quote from my 9 year old aunt Abigail.

“Rosy, you know, you’re lucky! Not everyone gets to hold their aunt on their lap!”

On the next part, I will post pictures of Family Camp!
